"I... Don't know what that means, green lady."
"your plant. it's dying."
"boooooo, red. you know keepin' these plants alive are your thing, not mine. i'm tryin' here." and harley was trying, but only for ivy. to show her that she cared and she could grow something instead of just killing things. so far, she was failing miserably. "can i still get an a for effort??? pretty please???"
"Harls." Pam murmured. "Plants need real light--" she motioned to the broken lamp that was angled over the pothos. "--like from a window." she picked it up and moved it over to a good spot before working her magic on the poor thing and giving it a good dose of water. "You get a B minus on the pothos, but an A for effort."
"Look, I'm not going to lie and say that isn't helpful... but is this we're supposed to be doing right now?"
"Of course it's helpful." she said, glancing at the stacks of paper barbara had on her desk. "what exactly are we supposed to be doing--is this really a 'green' emergency or did you just say that to get me over here?"
"Ivy." Selina turned slowly around to face her fellow siren. "I told you this was my first plant ever, when you gave it to me. Remember?" Selina huffed. "I'm doing my best, here. It's not the same as taking care of a cat, the plant wont cry when its hungry, or...thirsty, or whatever."
@toxicisley
"She is crying, you just haven't learned her language yet." Pam replied, pouring a cup of water into the dry soil. Then she gave one of the leaves a gentle brush of her finger and the whole thing perked right up. Pam turned back to Selina. "So, steal anything good lately?"
"You need to water your pothos--I don't even need to be me to hear her screaming on her little shelf over there. you know the drooping is a cry for help, right?"
