blacklist anyone for any reason, you don't have to explain, just as long as you actually treat it like a blacklist (and not treat it like a vent about the people or like a PSA/callout post) you'll be fine, if anyone complains about it then they probably are just trying to stir stuff up or am actual kid.

Also put it in a bulletin and your T.o.s. the whole profile warning blacklist can easily be forgotten about or taken less serious, i forget about them all the time as soon as I click accept tbh and I'm like "Damn how do I see that again... This is awkward" cause I'm forgetful and it's handy to have it in a bulletin so you can link it to 100% make sure people knows it exists. Im biased though I hate profile warnings that don't warn me about profiles with eyestrain, gore or fast gifs so feel free to put it there too if you feel the need too lol

Thoughts on personal blacklists? I’ve been thinking of making one because i’ve run into some real shitty people. I’ve seen someone say before (not here) that it makes the user seem like they’re into drama, but I just want to say I don’t want to do business with these people and why.

Anyone else get kinda offended when an artist ur trying to commission right off the bat is like "there's other people on my queue" when they 'accept' their commission?

And I very specifically mean this sort of wording, not a simple heads up on turnaround time or "hey I can't deliver this as quickly as I advertised atm because of my queue, is that ok?" Just. "There's other people on my queue" out of nowhere. Like uh yeah? I didn't expect to be given special treatment or anything, and for you to drop everything just to work on mine alone. You also didn't give me the option to back out if I was potentially displeased with the long wait time (is it long? I don't know because you didn't really tell me!) . Also I didn't ask lmao

Feels like getting in line at a grocery store check out, you're at the end of an average sized line, and the cashier leans over, singling you out, and says "Hey, there's other people in front of you" when you're just standing there with your basket, probably just looking at ur phone idk being told things when you didn't ask always just feels a bit like being talked down to.

(Jesus this was awfully long for 'this petty thing bothers the hell outta me, but I didn't want anyone to misinterpret this as me saying I don't understand being given a heads up or turnaround time)

I swear people get blacklisted over the tiniest of things.

I just got blacklisted on TH for telling a user to stop asking for pings on a character I designed (With permission from the current owner who's a dear friend) because they kept asking, and I wasn't comfy with them at all so they decided I was being rude and now I sit proudly (confused) on their blacklist.

Anon are you talking about this black cat sona which is quite literally an anthro version of Scourge from warrior cats that I've seen a million times? Down to the red under the eyes, the exact same eye colors, the collar, and the white spots on the fur. I have seen this design in feral and anthro form hundreds of times.

people get so entitled about digital artists and character designers specifically. could you imagine how crazy someone would sound if they said "we should boycott everything popular" about any other type of art medium or even job in general? if you don't like an artist's stuff, don't buy it. there are clearly people willing to spend that much on an artist if everything they make goes for hundreds or thousands of dollars. the thing i do hate though is when a popular artist actively encourages reckless spending and FOMO over their content just to get a higher profit out of it when they could easily make enough to cover living costs without resorting to such measures. on top of that, i also find a distaste for the extreme gap between how much popular art sells for vs how much non-popular art sells for - if you're not popular, you essentially have to work for slave wages to convince anyone to buy your art/adopts. but if you're popular, people will bid their rent just for a quick doodle. it absolutely feels unfair, but this is simply a side effect of living under a capitalistic society that prioritizes profits over humanity for everyone living in it. the only way to truly stop people from spending "too much" money on pop artists is to deconstruct the concept of money itself and make a complete overhaul of society. this is not feasible in our current social climate, though, so instead you should vote for political candidates in whatever country you're in who support policies that grant everyone the right to live. universal standard income, free housing, etc. fuck i went off topic and started ranting about politics sorry mod
