how did sonic even get him to take that?
thanos: *lays his eyes on peter parker*
carol:
I don’t get how Peggy didn’t see Steve staring at her in Endgame. He was literally standing there like
peter parker: [loses his third father figure]
literally all marvel women:
One thing that is fucking me up intensely right now is the way Tony, a man who doesn’t believe in gods, looks up at the sky as he has his kid back in his arms in a silent thank you. That yes, this worked. Yes, this was worth it. Yes, they might die, but his kid is back and he will do anything he can to keep him safe.
Tony should have seen all his kids grow up. Tony should have been able to attend Harley’s graduations. Tony should have been mentoring Peter for years to come. Tony should have been able to tell Morgan how much more than 3000 he loved her. Tony deserved a long, happy life with his kids.
Things I noticed in endgame
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
1) When Natasha, Steve, and Scott go to visit tony natasha can be seen wearing an arrow necklace. Probably a nod to her friend Barton.
2) When pepper and tony are talking about the time machine she asks tony if he could ever rest if he doesn’t help save the world. Her last words to tony are “you can rest now.”
3) While everyone is leaving to go back into time Natasha says “see you in a minute.” She never comes back.
4) Peter Parker calls iron man tony for the first time when he’s dying.
5) The avengers building collapsed in the battle and I don’t think they will re-build it again.
6) Natasha first became a shield agent because of Barton and fought alongside him. Her last mission was with Barton.
7) In infinity war when tony had the dream about his and pepper’s child he suggested naming their baby after he eccentric uncle. When they had a daughter they named her Morgan after pepper’s uncle.
8) kind of an obvious one, but in infinity war Dr. Strange said that when it came down to peter, tony, or the stone he would always choose the stone. He ended up choosing tony over the stone because he knew tony would be the one to do the snap and if thanos killed him there that wouldn’t have been possible.
9) Steve Rogers is wearing a tan coat at the end of endgame. That was the coat he wore in captain America: first avenger.
10) captain marvel got a haircut similar to the one in the comics.
11) when Sam shows up at the end of endgame he says “on your left.” Captain America says that to him in the winter soldier.
12) in Spider-Man homecoming when peter and tony are in the car peter hugs him but tony doesn’t reciprocate. In endgame tony willingly hugs peter for the first time.
13) Steve and Bucky say goodbye in endgame the same way they said goodbye in the first avenger when Bucky went to war.
14) the boy standing alone at tony Stark’s funeral was Harley from iron man 3
15) mcu started with the iron man movie and phase 3 ended with the death of iron man.
16) Natasha cuts her sandwhich in triangles so fury won’t steal it. (Thanks to @borhap-marvel-anddragrace for catching this)
17) In iron man it is shown that stark industries created weapons to destroy homes and kill people. Tony stark died saving the world. It really shows how he grew as a person and realized his mistake.
18) when tony is talking to Morgan he says “mommy never wears anything I make her anyway.” Pepper wears a suit of armor tony made when she’s fighting in the battle.
19) when pepper first enters the battle there’s a scene where her and tony are basically fighting back to back.
20) in the first avengers movie tony, Steve, and Thor fight against each other for loki. In endgame the three of them fight together against thanos.
21) Natasha never gets to see Clint’s family again after they come back.
*salutes* to that ass
When Infinity War came out, when I saw Gamora’s death on screen, I was under the assumption that it was used solely to try and make Thanos a more sympathetic villain. I was appalled and disappointed that she was alone when she died, barring the man who murdered her, who abused her all her life and dared call himself her father.
But when I saw Natasha’s death on screen, I knew that it wasn’t the purpose at all. Gamora’s death was meant to show us how wrong it was, how delusional and self involved Thanos was. We weren’t meant to sympathize with him because he “had” to kill his daughter for the good of the universe. We were meant to be angry. It was meant to solidify Thanos’ place as the irredeemable villain.
Because when Natasha died, she had to fight to do it. That scene between her and Clint showed us true sacrifice. They were willing to die themselves, but they weren’t willing to give each other up. They sacrificed more than Thanos ever could. Both Gamora and Natasha deserved better, deserved so much more than what was handed to them.
There was a point to it all. Those scenes mirrored each other in a way I wasn’t expecting.

Tony and Steve’s ends
ENDGAME SPOILERS
I’ve seen so much negativity about Tony and Steve’s endings in Endgame that I sort of wanna address because I think a lot of it is misplaced.
Steve:
* It is perfectly within his character for him to go back to the love of his life. The MCU, with both all three Captain America films and some of the Avengers films, have signalled this for literally eight years now.
* The timelines are not, as some people think, fucked up, nor does this mean that Steve will allow his best friend to suffer. The time travel in this movie creates alternate timelines. There’s a timeline where Loki escaped in 2012. A timeline where Thanos disappears in 2014. There’s also a timeline where Peggy Carter marries Steve Rodgers rather than her husband in the main timeline. In that timeline, Steve presumably blows Hydra’s cover in SHIELD and saves his best friend.
Tony:
* I get why people are upset about Tony dying after he has a family at last. But I think it’s probably the most realistic and accurate to the character of any of the ends. Tony Stark survived hell in Afghanistan and now wants to protect the world. He succeeded a few times and then failed in the most ultimate fashion, losing someone who was like a son to him.
* He then spends five years rebuilding his life, has a daughter etc. Presumably, Thanos’ snap has really killed off anyone’s interest in significantly conquering the Earth, so there aren’t really any threats.
* Then Tony sees an opportunity to actually save the world and his ‘son’. It’s absolutely within his character to go back and try. Hell, Pepper even broke up with him at one point in their relationship because she knew he’d never let go.
* And that’s exactly the point. Tony has tried to let go, but he always gets sucked back in. It’s a flaw or perhaps a positive in his character. It’s something he knows, that Pepper knows, that most people know. The inevitable outcome of that character trait was his death. Even if he survived this conflict, then he’d go with the Avengers on the next battle, and the next, until he died in battle. He was never going to retire and live till old age. That just wasn’t him after Afghanistan and New York.
* The most wonderful part of Tony’s arc is that even though his death was inevitable, he still spent five years being somewhat happy. He had a family. He had a kid. It was beautiful, and while it’s heartbreaking that they lost him, that was always an inevitability.
Bucky knew exactly what Steve was going to do, both in relation to Peggy and Sam, and that’s why he said he’d miss him. He’d miss his best friend, his teammate, and the Steve he knew, but he wasn’t about to stop him from grabbing the happiness and peace he’s wanted all his life. He’d just miss having him around is all. Nobody can convince me otherwise.
Tony Stark: I am… Iron Man
Me, choking on my tears: fuc k dude you sure are
I have never seen an entire theatre of people have so much excitement as when Steve took that hammer, I got chills
Steve: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
