The Transformation Pokemon

  It transforms into whatever it sees. If the thing it’s transforming into isn’t right in front of it, Ditto relies on its memory—so sometimes it fails. Each Ditto apparently has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to transformations.

"AAAH! OH MY GOSH YOU'RE SO ADORABLE, I WANNA SQUEEZE YOU TILL YOU POP!!"

“Diiii!!” But they don’t want to pop! They want to stay un-popped so they can transform and make people happy and laugh!!

“You know, that’s actually pretty neat,” Mercury said, slightly impressed. The only problem was its face though. It didn’t seem like it knew how to change it. “What else can you turn into?”

“Ditto?” What else? There were a lot of things, mister! The Pokemon took a moment to ponder, rubbing at their cheeks to figure out their next move. Maybe by showing them a person, they could get a positive reaction!

“Diiiitto,” maybe someone they met out in the wilds?

Or someone they recently met, but wasn’t very nice?

Or maybe they would like if they were a very pretty lady?

“What the hell?” Mercury pulled his leg back just before it connected with the now rock creature. He didn’t want to risk damaging his prosthetic. 

“This thing is so weird…” Once it hit the ground, he moved closer and prodded at it. “Hey, can you transform into other people?” 

..There was a hesitant moment before they began to transform again, deciding it was worth a shot to at least answer the man’s question.

“Diiiii--”

“To! Ditto!” They gave a nod, although they hadn’t transformed into a ‘person’ per say, but it was to give them an example of their skills. They could change into another person, if that was what this man wanted them to do.

Ren blinked in surprise as the pink blobby creature took on his form. It was actually a near identical likeness save for the eyes. 

He laughed at the post it struck. “Not bad.”

“Ditto ditto!” The Pokemon cheered, overjoyed with the sound of the other’s laughter, going as far as to tuck their arms in close to their chest, and bounce up and down with excitement. They loved it! It was all worth it to make their friends laugh and feel happy!

“…You’re creepy.” He’s just gonna kick it away.

“!!!!” Thankfully, this time the Ditto learned from previous encounters. This friend wasn’t a nice friend at all, so when they saw the kick coming, they quickly hardened their form to protect themselves.

Nora falls over, eyes wide in surprise. After a second, she stands back up, laughing. “You really are cute, aren’t you? That’s a neat trick, too!”

“Diiitto~” When transforming back, the Ditto brought it’s ‘arms’ in front of their face to hide, wiggling from side to side, bashful from the sudden compliments. Neat! She said they were neat! That made them so happy~!

✦✧   Weiss gasped, covering her mouth before beaming and squealing, “You are just so precious!” She beamed, “Can you copy anyone else~?” She was curious, looking at the pokemon. ✧✦

“Ditto ditto!” The Pokemon squealed, wiggling their arms with excitement. Anyone else? Yes, yes they could! They could remember all the most recent faces they had seen!

There was this friend!

“What the hell is this thing?”

“Diiiiiiii~” This guy was hard for some reason, but they did their best! They could only hope they liked it!

"Oh my goodness, you look so cute!" Weiss beamed at the ditto.

“Ditto!” The Pokemon squealed with delight, striking another pose in this form for their new friend, hoping it would earn them a good reaction. Their friend was cute too! So pretty!

Nora sees the pink blob, and smiles. She squats down next to it, gently poking it. "You're a cute little weird thing, aren't ya?"

Ohhh, this lady was so pretty! And she thought that they were cute? She was the cute one, and Ditto was more than happy to show her!

With an excited wiggle the transformation Pokemon quickly changed shape once more, smiling up at her; they even remembered her eyebrows!

“Di-tto Diii Ditto~!”

Ren's just going to curiously stare at the little creature. "Hello?"

For a moment Ditto simply stared back, letting out a tiny giggle at their greeting, before the Pokemon eagerly put on their show, hoping to impress their new friend and audience!

“Diiiii-tto!” They struck a pose, sticking their arms out. Look! Look! They even remembered the eyebrows this time!

Qrow inhaled sharply at the sudden appearance of eyebrows, trying not to outright laugh.

“Uh, good job Ditto,” he said trying not to snicker as he spoke. He gave the pokemon a pat on the head, however disturbing it might have been since the creature had taken his form.

“Diii?” Good job? They did a good job?

The Transformation Pokemon let out a happy squeal, melting back into their regular form to give a happy wiggle, and wave of their ‘arms’, before attaching themselves to the stranger’s leg for a hug.

“Ditto di~!”

❝ Hey there, little buddy! ❞ Leon has a meeting with Rose in a few minutes, but he is prepared to make them wait if it means he can get a closer look at this Ditto. ❝ I don't usually see you guys this close to town. ❞

As the trainer approached, the ditto was preparing themselves to put on a show. After all, they adored the passing faces of all the trainers, and this guy was no different. The transformation Pokemon wiggled with greeting, before quickly diving into their act.

“Ditto!” The pokemon struck a pose, presenting themselves in their work. They made sure to remember the eyebrows this time too, as the last friend wasn’t too happy about how they forgot them.

Danger? On Sundays? They knew just the thing to avoid danger!

Quickly they changed their shape, nestling themselves down into the grass; it was a perfect disguise, completely flawless!

“Ditto~!” They would be safe now, without a doubt.
