Hecate is a Greek goddess of witchcraft and a psychopomp of the underworld. She was often depicted with a torch and a key, symbols of her role as a guide to souls on their way to the afterlife.
She is a powerful figure among modern witches, often called upon for guidance and protection. Her assistance is sought by those pursuing spiritual growth and transformation, and her role as a moon goddess make her popular among those who practice lunar magic.
Hecate is depicted as a triple goddess. Traditional hekataia show her three aspects situated around a central column, often holding snakes, keys, torches, and daggers. Ovid wrote, "Look at Hecate, standing guard at the crossroads, one face looking in each direction."
Decorate a shrine or altar to Hecate with keys, lunar symbols, any of her associated crystals, figurines of her associated animals, especially black ones, and yellow or orange candles to symbolize her torches. If you have room and are so inclined, you can also include a cypress bonsai.

Release spell
A healing candle spell, to help other people with grief.
I created this spell to help my friends heal from the loss of thier son, who took his own life a little over a month ago.
Disclamer: This is my first hand written spell, so there may be mistakes or other ingredants that may work better. Also know that the herbs in this spell are there due to availability to me and personal meaning. Please do change this to fit your needs as this is a very personal spell.

Nutmeg for fortune
A small container you can melt was in and pull it back out afterwards (or wax paper to line the container) (Im using a metal shotglass)
A small photo of the person or people you hope to heal, preferably with the person they are mourning.
A small note with the intent of the spell or a sigel that symbolizes the intent of the spell.
A new wick to place in the candle your making
Note, you dont need alot for any of these so ground and juices or oils should work well. Also, I’m doing this on a full moon, but i don’t yet know if there’s a better time. I’m going to try the spell a few other times to see how it works.
Instructions
Mix all herbal and crystal ingredants into your small container, try to keep it at less than half your container.
Place photo face out on the side of container, make sure it doesn’t fall over into the container later.
Rip up or burn your letter, place pieces or ashes into spell to help charge it with your love and specific intent.
Melt candle wax and mix herbs in while still over heat source
Pour wax into the new container and place new wick in. Be careful not to let the photo fall over into the wax. Make sure to keep a little bit of wax left over.
Once wax hardens take candle out of container, flip over, and seal any holes with leftover wax.
Bless the new candle in whatever way you like to and ask your daities to watch over the person(s) grieving.
Burn candle whenever you feel they need it most or just when ever your thinking about them until it goes out.

A Spell Jar for Loss
I recently lost a dear friend, which brought upon the need for one of these. This spell is a little overly complicated, due to my overly complicated feelings at the time. Just about everything listed can be substituted, paired down, and personalized.
I used:
Chamomile - rest, meditation
Coriander - healing
Patchouli oil - Underworld
Rosemary - remeemberance
Thyme - ward negativity
Rose - love
Lavender - peace
Oris Root - friendship and spirit communication
Pomegranate - Underworld passage
Rose quartz - love and self care
Clear quartz - healing
Mourning tears - I used a tissue soaked from the memorial.
Dirt - from the gravesite or from a place that had fond shared memories
Momento or symbol of loved one (I made a quick symbolic drawing of my friend)
Add the ingredients to the jar in the manner you choose, concentrating on their intent as you add them.
You will need to write a quick but meaningful incantation personal to your loved one. I am not going to include mine here, but yours does not have to be complicated or long.
Meditate or say incantation and then seal the lid with indigo or dark blue wax, for spirit communication. Tie with pink ribbon, for friendship.
Carve runes, if you want, for healing and friendship. I have included the ones I used here, bit you can use any runes or sigils you like.
Store jar on altar or other sacred space, until you are ready. When you feel you are ready to let go of the loss, bury the jar in a quiet and sacred place.
Keep safe friends.

🔮🌿LAVENDER TEA BREAD🌿🔮
INGREDIENTS Lavender Cake: ¾ cup milk 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh lavender 6 tablespoons butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt
Lavender Glaze: ½ cup milk 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
PREPARATION Cake: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Combine the milk and lavender in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat to a simmer, then remove from heat, and allow to cool slightly. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg until the mixture is light and fluffy. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk and lavender until just blended. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a wooden pick inserted into the crown of the loaf comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
Lavender Glaze: Place the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. When it starts to boil, take the pan off the heat and add the dried lavender buds. Let the mixture steep for 5-8 minutes, then strain the milk Whisk it into the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, until you get a smooth and opaque glaze. Pour or spoon over the cooled loaf.
hey, witchblr how do i make noon water? does it matter if i use tap water? i want to make some with the full moon tomorrow but i don’t wanna mess it up. any help is appreciated! 🥰
Any water works. There is a lot of controversy over plastic vs glass containers but everyone usually agrees it should be a transparent container (so the moonlight can get to the water). I highly recommend a bottle or jar with a lid so you can keep bugs out. The bottle should be where moonlight can touch it. The longer you can leave it out, the better, but bring it in before sunrise. Store it in a dark place until used.
For extra oomph, you put a piece of silver in the water since silver is considered to be the lunar metal. I have pentacle that is real silver that I use. (moonstone can potentially leak aluminum into the water so not recommended. Though your typical polished moonstone is probably unlikely to do much damage unless you have a lot of rocks, a lot of time and drink a lot of moon water. But best to be safe.)
