k. page.
stand firm , girl - eternal girl - stubbornness / girl - pride ! girl - wrapped in tragedy && struggling to get free . slip steel into your spine , wrap it tight around each vertebrae && do not be afraid ! you who has FACED DEATH many times && walked away whole . a little bruised , perhaps , banged up && near broken but living to tell the tale ! perhaps you were born HARD TO KILL ! ❛ you can't INTIMIDATE ME into stopping . ❜
this is what you do best you've found ! finding patterns && clues && loose ends unraveled that , WHEN YOU PULL , come together to form a larger picture most would need longer , need to look harder to see ! a talent . a target placed oh so prettily upon her back , right between her lungs . ❛ you're going to have to kill me && that'll leave A FOUL TASTE in your mouth . MAYBE . hopefully . ❜ / @tragodias
the two could not be anymore different.
elektra is tragedy personified –– every where she walks, she brings with her destruction, chaos, havoc.
karen is justice –– seeking to make people’s lives better by bringing forward the truth.
( guess who people would like to be around? )
and unlike her, karen has always walked away from near death situations unscathed. as if death is too scared of touching the woman and pulling her into the deepest depths of the styx while she has no problem drowning elektra, no matter how many times she reaches for the surface.
should she feel lucky that she has managed to escape the claws of death? that she has conquered it and lived to see the tale? no, she feels it’s unfortunate, because she feels as though parts of her die too whenever she takes her supposed last breath.
“oh i’m heavily considering that, ms. page, you don’t even have to suggest it.” she grits her teeth. “i thought you’d respond better with negotiation. don’t force me to use force because –– both you and i know –– that i have no problem getting my hands dirty.”
