Parents day. Eddie was pretty excited about seeing his father after being at school for so long. His family was pretty tight so being apart like that was a little unnerving. Sure, he had Marisol and he was glad that his sister was there with him and he could keep an eye on her, but they were like the three musketeers when they were together.

He hummed as he made his way to the diner. He had talked to his father about using that as the meeting point since it was in town and not directly on one of the campuses since they were on both. Eddie was sure his father had some adventures since they were in school and he was looking forward to hearing about them.

As he got to the diner, he saw his father inside, though he was talking to a pretty black haired woman who was sitting at the bar. Somethings never change, he thought. He walked in, the bell above the door signaling his entry and Miguel turned his head to Eddie.

"My boy! It's so good to see you again! I've just been getting acquainted with this raven haired goddess! What’s your name again, sweetheart?" Miguel asked, turning his head to the woman as Eddie leaned onto the counter.

“Trouble lurks around every shadowed corner.” (Eddie)

“Yeah I’ve noticed that, this school is full of people who don’t like each other or who in some cases like each other a little too much.” She said folding her arms, as she looks around the dark street. “Does trouble include you though?”

“Me? No. Well... sometimes no.” Eddie chuckled. He wasn’t going to lie, him and Marisol along with Rafael could get up to some trouble if they tried. “Not the kind that would put me in the Community.” He verified, shaking his head. Honestly, Eddie was just trying to erase his mind before parents day. He loved his dad but he knew he was going to hear about his adventures and would be asking what Eddie had done while in school and, well, he hadn’t done much to talk about.

“Looking for trouble, are we?” (Rafael)

Eddie turned at the voice and grinned. “Oh! You know that looking for trouble is in our blood!” He laughed, glad to see his friend. “Our dads are pretty much the poster boys for that kind of thing right?” He joked, walking over to Rafael. They had practically grown up together and he counted Rafael as his brother.

“How’ve you been? How's Uncle Tulio and Aunt Chel?”

“It’s dangerous to walk at night alone.” (Eddie)

Evie unthinkingly laughed at the boy’s comment. “Oh, please. I’m use to walking around Mist Haven alone and at night.” For years, she would escape her house and either take a risk and walk around the Lost Community or head to the woods to practice her archery. Tonight, she couldn’t sleep, so she grabbed her bow and arrow and headed for the woods. She was surprised that someone else was up so late, though. “So, why are you walking around at night alone?”

Eddie had to ask himself the same question. Why was he walking around the woods at night all alone? “Oh, I was just exploring. Not everyday you’re in places of enchantment such as this.” He tried but paused. “well actually being a student I suppose I would be.” He hummed, shrugging his shoulder since he didn’t necessarily care about the difference in what he had said. “It’s fun.” He chuckled finally.

“So you always walk around here alone at night? You must be quite the expert. Maybe I should tag along so I don’t get lost. I don’t exactly have a map.” He hummed, smiling at her and running his fingers through his hair.

Eddie smiled. “I’ve traveled with my father who has had more than one reckless event in his life time and he was always a good happy nice soul.” He chuckled. “I’m more the adventurer danger type.”

Eddies eyebrow raised and he shrugged. “I wouldn’t necessarily say i haven’t considered it but it wouldn’t be me if I started being not nice.” He pointed out with a shrug. “Danger can be in my life without me needing to be not nice about it.”

“I know that, hermano.” Marisol giggled. “But the body for the snowman rolled away from me. I tried chasing after it, but I ended up face planting in the snow.”

Eddie hummed a bit and nodded. “Tree bark could possibly work. I’m not really sure of anything else that would fit” He smiled, shaking his head. There was coat to color the snow but who know how well that’d work when tree bark was right there. “We’ll need to make it perfect.” He smirks.

“I guess you have a point sometimes but I’m rather good at being nice.” Eddie shrugged with a smile at her. He wasn’t the least bit phased by the girls attitude towards him.

“Yes but even without the snow.” Eddie teased, starting to work on the snowman again. “We gonna make it look like uncle Tulio?” He asked, smirking a bit at the idea. He would have to take a picture and send it to his aunt and uncle once they were done.

Eddie chuckled a bit and shook his head. “You are just a bit clumsy, mi hermana.” He hummed, brushing the snow off of her shoulder and out of her hair before tugging her snow hat down playfully over her eyes.
