Instead of looking at her art for what it is, everyone is trying to figure out who she’s writing about and make it into a drama.  So she’s literally saying “here, have a song with really generalized lyrics about a guy and I’ll sit back and laugh because it’s really about all of you trying to do that based on nothing.”  That’s the game.
