i need authors or publishing companies to figure out how to write good summaries for fantasy. you do not need to introduce all the vocab terms of this world, you need to give the audience an interesting hook. Like, random names and scenarios pulled out of a hat, "Asmand is on the run for a murder he did not commit. Or, at least he's pretty sure he didn't" is a lot stronger a hook than "Asmand is on the run from The Council of Nine Elders for killing the Svelah, the eldest of them all, while under a Trayenas, a mythical trance emparted on him by Blyth"

I just want to get this off my chest: Concert Edition

So, I'm a chill person, very understanding, and also very short. So obviously tall people will block my view and it is ultimately up to me to find a good spot for a view. (Maybe surprising to people who may know me in that I'm typically a quiet shy person, but I actually will get a barrier spot if it is for a band I really really love. I get to all my concerts early and the barrier is almost always an option for me. I usually stick to the sides because I dont want to partake in crowd surfers or mosh pits obviously).

However, sometimes I'm cool with not being up in the front but I still stand close-ish. Anyway, my pet peeve is that somehow, even with lots of space around me, some skyscraper tall person will stand directly in front me. Directly. In. Front.

Like how would they not know?

And i mean in a scarce crowd (most of the concerts I go to are small).

#concerts #despite popular opinion i will allow myself this complaint #this def happened to me at the cartel concert more than once #and like i wasnt that close to the stage #but where i was i had a great view of will even being towards the back/side #it was okay because i would move to the side of them (because yes there was that much room) and i could see pretty much the whole time
