Touching a baby's nails.
Mum: They're so soft .... Like paper... *My sister and I give each other the raised eyebrow and laugh* Mum: What!!! You wouldn't want the baby to scratch the inside of your stomach. *My sister and I continue to laugh*

Happy labour day! I went to the gym in the morning because I have finally gotten over my self-consciousness (if that's a word). My sister gave me her VS bikini top because it didn't fit her so yay to new hand me downs! It was scorching hot so my family decided to switch it up by going to Stanwell instead of Botany. I had a great time reading, conversing and playing badminton with a 3 year old although he whacked me a one too many times with his racquet. I'm extremely knackered from today because the waves were big ... And fun!
I can't really do long blog posts anymore since I do them directly from my phone but these are a few snaps I took from the food truck event at the entertainment quarter. I did NOT expect such a big turn out. I didn't bother waiting in line so I jumped into the shortest queue which was Messina (the blue [cute] cart)! I chose coconut and passion fruit but it tasted like one of those bula flavours from home ice-cream. Definitely not worth the trek unless 1) you love your food and 2) you love waiting in line for your food.
Train ride to the city on a Saturday night.
A group of drunk lads hop onto the train and situate themselves behind a pair of females.
One noticeably drunk guy grasps onto the seat for dear life and struggles to rifle through the plethora of his successful pick up lines.
He sputters: Oi, are you girls on tindr?!?!?
My brain: **giggles**
My typical Saturday morning before I head off to work in the arvo. Time spent with my pooch, doing some stretches, eating a smoothie bowl and some studying...and showing off my funky sunnies (that don't protect your eyes from the sun)
Working from my Ipad.
Two weeks ago I lost my macbook pro. I wish I had an elaborate story that could put the blame on someone else but the bottom line is I left it on the bus. I knew I forgot it right after I stepped off it but once I turned around to stop the driver from continuing his route he already took off. I am extremely disappointed with myself because I never lose any valuable items (since I'm so cautious) so this was out of character. Even my sister said "That's not you". I was having a stressful morning getting phone calls and switching buses 3 times in 15 minutes. At the end of the day, I did my best trying to retrieve it by calling the bus depot, police and Apple EVERYDAY but it's likely some mean soul has wiped off all my hard work and are now using it for their own leisure. I am praying that it is getting put to good use. Maybe a struggling father who could not afford a laptop for his child found it and now that kid has an equal opportunity for education. This sounds so melodramatic but this makes me feel a bit better since that laptop was a gift for starting university that I was planning to use it for years to come. I have let go of the fact that I had a laptop and I take 100% responsibility that it's lost because of my actions. So I bought myself an Ipad Air Keyboard Folio so now I can type long documents (like this) again. I have also started tagging my name and mobile number on EVERYTHING valuable I own. I went a bit extreme and put it on my drink bottle, reading and sunglass frames. The point of this post is if you own a macbook, engrave your name on it, tag it and turn on "Find My Mac". The point is if someone finds/steals it they have the option to return it knowing your information...if not they will make a bad choice by keeping. I thought I would never lose a big object like that but it happens to the best of us. Remember, when you lose... don't lose the LESSON! Love, T.
Androgynous day yay!
Some morning humour
Bro : Can you bring me a glass of water?
Me: **playfully** What's the magic woooOooooOrd???
Bro: NOW!!
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHA
Trying to stitch my future together day.
I was extremely happy that it was a warm Springâs day (and from the morningâs workout endorphins) so I wore my favourite maxi skirt out.
My friends and I attended the Honours talk and all the alumni presentations were so convincing. I walked in with the attitude that I was only there to eat the free sandwiches because I was 90% certain I was NOT going to go down the research path. BUT the presentation was extremely persuasive.
I left a bit earlier to attend the presentations of the students who went to third-world placements in the June/July break. I was incredibly inspired by the group of GEM physios who put in an impressive amount of work to improve the baby and childrenâs centre they did their placement at. They set up a fund, implemented new management strategies and assessment scales and started the childrenâs history/documenting as they previously did not have cohesive medical records. They are literally #squadgoals.Â
The recommended me to borrow the textbook âDisabled Village Childrenâ and so I did that after all the studentâs presentations were finished. The book is such a great resource and I am so glad that those wonderful group of women chose that location because they did an excellent job while they were there. I also got next yearâs Paediatric lectures off my friend so I could be well-informed before I go on my placement.
This was published in 1987 but itâs still 100% applicable to todayâs health care system.
I then visited my best friendâs dress that she hand-made by herself. The theme was to make a dress without fabric.
We then went to Bondi Pizza and I was super happy with our meal. Then we got Messina.
So far, I need to register for Honours and Exchange ASAP and I also have to still plan all the components of my Cambodian trip.
Toodles for now since Im so tired I am about to slam my face on the keyboard!
I have lived in my favourite blouse for 4 years now and I still receive compliments for it!
Got to work half an hour early this morning so took a brisk walk and captured this spunky tree. I couldnât stop smiling at the fact I finished work while the sun was still shiningâŚso the traffic on the drive home didnât bother me.
Currently in my bubble world...
â Last practical exam tomorrow â Nearly finished planning everything for my 4 week Cambodian Physiotherapy placement. â Starting a new idea for a food project. The design for the logo has started so it's incredibly exciting!
Day out with my sister for her birthday.
I can't stop researching terrariums and I love these images of original terrariums called Wardian Cases (from Google images)
I bought these cute mason jars and couldn't wait to fill them up so I went on a walk to collect flowers just before the sun started to hide. Also, today I excitedly put down a deposit to volunteer in Cambodia for 4 weeks. I'm absolutely stoked because I've wanted to do this ever since I started Uni!!! Life, you rock.
K tape is a sham???????
I had a week filled with bad luck and timing so I had to come here to one of my favorite spots to reflect. I wasn't pleased to see how polluted the place had become!
