What is transandrophobia? It is transphobia that targets transmasculinity. Some people also refer to it as transmisandry or anti-transmascu

Joanne K Rowling: wrote some mediocre books about a boy who's really special by birthright and has a girl who's kind of annoying as a sidekick that teach kids the importance of doing personality quizes, racism, buying merch and why slavery is good actually. I doubt Lindgren was ever even close to being as rich and powerful as Rowling, yet she had such an impact and left the world so much better than she found it. She's the reason why by the time I started school, kids were no longer getting beaten in school like my parents were.

humans just arent that differently-sized or -shaped, as a species. we have almost no sexual dimorphism at all compared to the vast majority of other mammals.

animals that have similar levels of sexual dimorphism to humans, for example cats, dogs, and horses, do not generally have competitive events segregated by sex. the dog agility trials dont normally have separate leagues for male and female dogs (gendered competitions exist they're just unusual). because it doesnt matter. there is no kentucky derby 2 just for girl horses. thats not a thing

I feel like it's a perfect example of malgendering and transandrophobia. He's arrested for being a man in a woman's washroom, and at the same time, the arresting officer calls him a "little girl."

Yeah this is literally a perfect example. There was no "misdirected" violence here, they knew he was a trans man and still thought his presence in the women's bathroom was a male violation, WHILE ALSO infantilizing and feminizing him.

THIS is what can happen when trans men use the women's bathroom in a transphobic place. The presence of a trans guy in the women's bathroom is not, in fact, so shocking and incapable of being conceive that transphobes' brains simply shut down and can't do anything—they just direct their transphobia... at the trans man! Shocking! Who could've forseen such an outcome!

as a side note: as this shows, transmascs being seen as "little girls" does not always mean being seen as "innocent" or "uwu" little girls. "Little girls" in this country are frequently treated with incredible disrespect and violence (especially when they aren't white). people need to get it in their brains that being infantilized & feminized is not always a passive experience of being seen as "too soft." you can be treated like a little girl while you are getting violently arrested by cops who hate you.

I often see people use the term "intersectionality" to refer to people who are part of multiple minority demographics, but don't know that it actually means that being part of multiple minority demographics means that the discrimination against one part of your identity is often done in a different way, weaponising other aspects of your identity to do it.

Transmasculine invisibility is pretty misunderstood i fear. I think a better way to put it is Transmasculine erasure.

It's not that we blend in

Our murders are erased as femicide

Violence against us is marked as violence against women

Law makers DO think about us and the laws they make are made to erase us. Laws that talk about trans youth are very often about "saving young girls, preventing mutilation, and preserving fertility" These laws are made to keep us from existing in the first place

We are erased medically as well. Denied fertility and reproductive care because "men don't have uteruses"

We are erased when people in our community don't listen to us or talk about us.

When we are told to be silent and to shut up, we are not invisible, we are being silenced.

Invisibility implies a state of being that we embody rather than acknowledge the Verb that it is. We are Made invisible. It is an Act against us. We are Actively Erased and excluded. From statistics, from discussions, from the news, from support networks.

You can see the violence of it plainly in the reactions to our voices. How angry people get when we demand to be heard and seen and talked about. To be acknowledged. Erasure is not a privilege or a shield. It's actually incredibly violent
