Feeling great!
My surgery went great. The U of M staff was so kind and really made me feel comfortable and not nervous at all. It was a pretty painless time. The most sore I felt was mostly in my feet and throat. I decided to just let myself take the painkillers for the first night and was just a little sore.
My movement is actually quite easy. I found myself able to lift my arms above my head already with little discomfort! My throat is still sore and i keep coughing up flem still.
Today I woke up and didn't feel in pain at all. It was hard to fall asleep for longer than a few hours at a time but I think that's mostly from sitting on the couch and people in the house staying up until 4am...
I haven't taken any kind of pain meds yet. Probably will take the recommended tylenol on the schedule the gave me despite that. I also found my drains were clean and looked good. Not hard to take care of at all. Overall, I think I am having a great recovery so far! I can not wait to see how well the surgery came out. Dr E Wilkins was very methodical on making sure I would love my surgery.
