my name will be kept a secret since i know what you people are like and am not a fan of being doxxed. if you want a word to refer to me with, use kitty. it's a cute petname i like. i am a mogai blog, ish. i identify with mogai terms and follow a few mogai coiners. that being said, i don't coin things myself anymore, though i used to.

i advocate for justice on this blog, now. i advocate to keep the minorities of the mogai community safe. and i will keep doing so. no matter how much hate you send me, i will make sure this blog remains up.

now, onto the information about me (as much as i feel safe sharing); i'm an intersex mixed (🇯🇵/🇨🇳/indig) trans woman, and an abro lesbian. i use fluctuating pronouns, but if you need auxiliary ones, it/its always works. i am also physically disabled, level 2 autistic, schizoaffective (bipolar type), and have aspd. i struggle greatly to understand and use tone tags, but i know how many people need them, so i will try my best to use them for you. sometimes, i struggle to speak and type at all, and because of that my english will not always be great.

i only have one dni : transmisogynists. this includes supporters of users like @/nothorses and @/genderkoolaid, and those who believe men are oppressed simply for being men. you are a genuine danger for me to be around, stay away from me.

i know how messy discourse can get, but i try my very hardest to be open to all viewpoints. i'll state my stances on a few things here, and let you make the decision whether or not to follow me yourself. :3 i'm antiship, pro mspec gays/lesbians and turigirls/lesboys (obviously), anti endo (in the way i disagree w the community, not necessarily the existence of endo systems), and anti transID. i don't really care if supporters of any of the above interact, but if you're transID i *will* look at you really funny because 99.9% of you guys are racist.

you don't have to take my advice at all, but just know i said the exact same stuff about knowing my boundaries and having the emotional maturity to deal with everything when a friend told me that maybe what i was doing with helping people/giving advice n such was probably not the best idea. it's not just me either, i have a handful of friends i've met in the last few years who did the same things, said they could handle it, and ended up with worse depression and anxiety from trying to help other people with their issues. i know you think you can handle it and think i'm just trying to be a weird overprotective stranger, but i genuinely don't think any minor and even most youngish adults have the actual full "navigating issues critically and properly" (idk how to phrase that sorry hopefully my point comes across) knowledge to be "a voice of reason" for anyone without causing accidental harm, and i really don't want anyone else ending up getting in over their heads

not posting this as a rb or anything because I don't really want to be hooked into this past giving my own opinions, but I really dislike how a majority of the arguments for the usage of yandere I've seen are "it's just a trope"/"why are you conflating a trope with oppression" because..? Please think a little critically about this (not at you). They Weren't The Reason The Word Was Used That Way it was the fault of weaboos not seeing Japanese people as human. If a Japanese person comes forward about non-Japanese people misusing a term that Originates From Japan you should probably listen to them no matter how connected to the word you are. It's hard, absolutely, I get that, but should you really try fighting it to the point you start saying racist things when you could just find a better term? And the fact that just because it was originally a term for a trope doesn't mean it can't suddenly be used in a weird or horrible way.

Even if the word didn't have the connotations and you just disliked that non-Japanese people were obsessed with a term from a country they have no connection to, it's not that hard to just say obslove in place of yandere. Same meaning, just that one didn't end up evolving into a word used to dehumanize an entire ethnic group

YES this exactly. you get it. also like, tropes can absolutely be racist. there are plenty of racist tropes out there. there's also homopbobic, transphobic, and ableist tropes too. something being a trope doesn't...automatically make it okay.

it is out of genuine concern. i did similar stuff with the whole advocating for the safety of smaller groups etc etc when i was like 14-16 and it very quickly turns into stretching yourself out too thin trying to help too many people. that's what i mean by damaging to your mental health. i didn't realize it at the time but it was a definite contributor to my pre-existing mental health issues getting so much worse. like, for as good as it sounds to run a sort of safe haven for people, it's really draining and not something you should do 1. on your own or 2. as a minor, especially because a lot of people in the groups you want to keep safe are adults

ok last anon you posted sorry i can't word my shit right 🙄 my whole point was that acting as the whole "safe space" deal is insanely draining as a minor (i used to do the same in other communities) and trying to take on a whole community's issues *will* damage your mental health. like it is straight up not a mentally safe role for a minor to take on. this has nothing to do with the discourse itself.

the amount of hatred and harassment i've gotten from white people is astounding, honestly. crazy how defensive you all get when something you like turns out to be wrong. it's not surprising to me, though. you can't trust the whities to do anything right, can you?

i'm likely going to be revamping this account, making it more pretty. and with that change will come a change of direction; i want to create this place into a true safe space, if not the *only* safe space for minorities who identify with MOGAI terms. i want to create shelter for all the poc queers, the jewish queers, the disabled queers. the schizospec queers and the autistic queers and the cluster a/b/c queers. the visually impaired queers, the hard of hearing queers, the wheelchair bound queers. the tma queers, aspec queers, the poor queers, and just about anyone who's tired of being shoved out of every community there is that claims to be "safe" to us and our brethren.

if you've been shoved out of the queer community, if you've been forced down and screamed at and harassed and lied about, you can finally rest here. i will not allow a single queer of any type of minority to be forced out of my space. <3

Addressing A Racist Issue In The MOGAI Community (TW : discussion of racism, sexualization, and mentioned SA)

hey. this blog isn't active, and the part behind it isn't active in my system either, but i do still exist. this used to be a MOGAI blog, as i am someone who considered myself (and still do consider myself) a part of the MOGAI community. unfortunately, i kept losing motivation to make flags and the blog has since been abandoned.

that's not what i'm here to discuss. i'm here to talk about an issue i've noticed in the community that has been irritating me for a while : yandere related genders.

for those who don't know, a yandere is a japanese anime trope used to a describe an individual (most often, a woman) who is madly and unhealthily in love with someone, often going to extreme lengths to try and achieve that person's attention.

i am a japanese trans woman with BPD. those who self identify as yanderes most often claim its a label exclusive to those with BPD or OLD, but this is where i see an issue begin. out of everyone i've seen 'reclaiming' this label, *none of them are japanese*. they say the term yandere is harmful against those with BPD and OLD and romanticizes the disorder, which i don't even necessarily disagree with, but here's the thing; the term yandere, most often, is used to sexualize, oppress, and stereotype japanese women. i have experienced things like this myself, firsthand, and i'm sure i'm not the only one out there.

we are fetishized, treated like objects of nothing but attraction. every white weeb wants a yandere anime girlfriend, it'd be so cool to be loved like that to them, but they see a japanese woman on the street and catcall her and call her slurs. asian fishing white women love to cosplay yanderes, but constantly steal and appropriate japanese culture without a second thought to it. the white man may joke with his friends about his new japanese girlfriend, calling her kawaii and yandere and unique for showing even the slightest bit of affection and love for him.

i have never been called a yandere for my BPD. i have seen myself and plenty of others be called yanderes for being japanese. it is, in my opinion, not your term to reclaim. you are not viewed inescapably as 'nekos', 'lolis' 'anime girls', and yes, 'yanderes' in the way that we are. you are not sexually assaulted and harassed and hatecrimed for your BPD like we have been.

i ask, respectfully, that non japanese people stop self identifying with this term. please help spread awareness to this issue with me, share this post in any way you can. i am tired of experiencing constant racism even in safe spaces like the MOGAI community, and i ask that you help me bring an end to it.

Question– Does the misuse about yandere apply to other common -dere types? Or only yandere since it's the only one with that connotation /genq? I resonate with a couple of the terms but I would rather be safe about it than disrespectful

im mixed on other dere identities, as i dont see them used as commonly, but they're still obviously rooted in japanese culture. i could also definitely see why more common ones like 'tsundere' could be used for racist actions. to play it safe, i'd stick away from anything ending in -dere for now.

i really want to be respectful but also the term yandere has deeply resonated with me from a young age, as someone who would frequently obsess over the latest crush or something.

would you happen to know of any alternative terms I could possibly use that wouldn't be disrespecting those of asian descent?

ive seen terms like obslove / obsessive lover used, but i don't know of any one word terms to replace the word really. if anyone has any they'd like to suggest, please feel free to add onto this post. ^_^
