“All the better for him, I say.” Pursing his lips, Draco brushed his blonde locks out of his eyes. “From what I’ve seen, being a hero really just sets that douche bag trait into full swing.” Taking a moment to pout and toy with the seams of his robe, he toed at the ground. A few beats of silence followed, until he suddenly looked up again to meet the older man’s gaze. “So! Your son. How do I remind you of him?”

Spells? What was this boy, a sorcerer? He better not be, or Aladdin would be forced to kill him. It wasn’t a personal thing - just that he hated sorcerers. Shaking his head, the man removed his hand and ran it through his hair. Draco had a lot to learn.

“No man - not spells or any of that shit. Be charming, act like you care and as if she has a choice in wanting you.” He chuckled and raised his eyebrows suggestively with a smirk. “Because trust me, they think they have a choice - but they’ll always end up in bed with me. Without fail.”

Al liked having someone to pass on his wisdom to - it was fun! Just as long as the kid kept away from Aladdin’s pursuits, he’d be alright. Gesturing for Draco to come closer, he crouched down a bit. This was some smart shit he was about to share - it had to stay between them. “As for being subliminal, all you gotta do is occasionally pepper the conversation with these four words… Take off your clothes.” He grinned at the boy. Man, he didn’t even know how if Draco understood just how golden this information was! “Add a few well placed sexual innuendos on top of those words, and she’ll be yours to fuck, bro.”

Be charming? Well, Draco certainly already had that down -- after all, he was his father’s son. Charm ran in the family. He tried to act like he cared for Hermione, but that always seemed to somehow backfire and the blonde boy was quite ready to place the blame for that on a certain ginger that seemed glued to her and Starkid Potter. Sighing, he bowed his head to stare at the toes of his shoes, barely peeking out from under the bottom of his robes. Though Aladdin’s words gave him a faint glimmer of hope, he still wasn’t sure if he could do it quite as well as the older lad. Al had a type of confidence that Draco tried to have -- but he always came up a bit short in showing it as well as Aladdin.

Pursing his lips together, he attempted to pull a face that showed he was ready and in control. When he felt he had it decently arranged, he looked back at his companion and, catching the gesture, took a few small steps toward him. He leaned in, eyes widening because man this had to be a great trick if he’s acting this secretive. His mouth fell open as Aladdin whispered, cheeks turning a brilliant shade of pink. “And...it’s really that simple, then? I mean, we’ve never really kissed, so it feels like we’re leaving out a step there, but...does that matter? We can just..skip all the nonsense and go straight to...to --” he cleared his throat, “-- the sex?”

“Friend?” And that still wasn’t the first time Draco introduced that word either. An eyebrow raised at the idea, waiting a second or two before she was letting a gentle breath out. “I would hardly say that. As much as the thought is appreciated, and it really is, I don’t think that is quite necessary.”

Rolling his eyes at her questioning of their obvious friendship, he sighed and clicked his tongue against his teeth -- tsk tsk. “Honestly, Granger, where have you been this year?” Stuffing his hands in his pockets, Draco rocked back on his heels, an eyebrow lifting as she spoke. “It wouldn’t be necessary, if you would just decide to come with me. But, I’m afraid you’ve dug your grave here. You, Weasley, and Potter. Boy, you’ll feel really disappointed in yourself when you get my letters. Really, really disappointed.”

@ask-gallant; - Oh my dead god Alix is the biggest sweetheart, and was one of the first people I role-played with way back when I was still getting my feet underneath me and Emilie was the biggest Mary Sue in existence. Since the beginning I have looked up to since the very beginning both in writing and in art. She is and always will be one of my favorite people to write with, not only that Gallant is one of the most well developed original characters I have ever had the absolute pleasure of writing with. Lovely mun, lovely character, highly recommend.

@rexinvio; - Who do I need to sell my shriveled black soul to for Quin’s talent? Seriously I want to know because I’ve sold mine to the devil and gave several demons IOUs and I still don’t even come close to touching her level of talent. Seriously. I love her, Nemo, the bots— Quin and Alix have singlehandedly managed to get me into the fallout fandom just because their threads together are so damn interesting.

@twiistedpath; - Sara is so lovely. I never would have met her without tumblr dead goddamn different continents. I’m pretty sure her Jafar blog was the very first starkid blog I followed, and she’s the biggest sweetheart. I adore every single one of her blogs, and she brings something so unique to every character she writes. Not only that, her writing chemistry with her partners is insane. Her writing with Sherezade ( I’ll get to Abby very soon) is beautiful and I just fall in love with her blogs over and over again. She is the dad of the starkid fandom and we all love her to death and if you’re not following, you’re doing something wrong.

@toughtaz; - Alright, Em is one of the most lovely people I have met through roleplaying. She is seriously so talented, and I adore all of our roleplays. True we don’t interact much on this blog, but I love her too much not to include her in this. Our threads on Up and Taz are straight up magic, it’s some of the strongest writing chemistry I’ve ever had with a partner. I love her, and all of her blogs. She is fantastic, A+ writing, I recommend writing with her to everyone cause she is FANTASTIC.

@coppergears; - Kayla is amazing. Gears is her bro even if he did try to murder her 8-10 years ago and Static… I mean I’m pretty sure that she’s shown she adores him. Something about him putting a ring on it? I know she remembers way back when Emilie was flatter than a piece of paper, I have no shame in saying she helped shape my muse as well.

@justdreamiiing; - Kourt is just generally lovely. I mean all of her muses are so beautiful. Seriously all of her muses are precious and I adore every last one of them and I want to wrap them in warm fuzzy blankets and protect them from the world like the precious cinnamon rolls that they are. She has been nothing short of a complete sweetheart since we met.

@iwanttoknowyourstorx; - Abby is just wonderful. I’ll admit of all the starkid/Twisted role-players she’s the one I know the least, but in the time we have talked, she’s been nothing but amazingly sweet. Not only that, she gives great advice, and has a fantastic grip on the voice of Sherezade.

@stealingiseasierwithgold; - KATIE. Oh my dead god I adore Katie, so much platonic love. She’s fantastic. I mean some of her muses are assholes *cough* the Sultan *cough* but seriously is just a wonderful sweet mun who I love talking to. She’s a lovely person, and a fantastic writer.

@asksynrabbit; - Cloud is bae. Syn is Emilie’s sister, best friend, and god mom to her kids— there is not a muse who has affected her more than Syn, and that’s saying something. Cloud is a lovely person and someone I consider to be a good friend.

@izzythecyborg; - Kass is lovely. I love Kass, I love our plotting, I love the fucked up things we have coming down the line because we are terrible people. Short version: I seriously love her. She is the most fantastic person, and she’s super sweet and supportive, and I adore her.

The holidays just...did a number on me and now, with my husband’s new job, I am traveling quite a bit, so my posting time is limited.

This guy had some serious issues. For one - he actually gave a shit about the girl he wanted to score with. Who the hell did that?! Not Aladdin. He was going about it all wrong - thinking that feelings actually played into the hook up. Well… If you could charm a chick into thinking she loved you, then it was so much easier to bang her - but it wasn’t necessary!

“Kid, I always get laid. Always. You just gotta charm her, make her think that your really interested in her as a person or whatever… And then boom! She’ll be in bed with you before you know it!” He laughed and patted Draco on the shoulder. It wasn’t a complicated concept. “And if she doesn’t fall for the charm - then you just have to make her think about having sex with you… Subliminally.”

Draco was, suffice it to say, shocked at the man’s ability to be so open about this subject. Though the boy’s father was quite a woman’s man, Draco had never had that sort of luck. Perhaps it was due to his own lack of expression, or perhaps it was because girls were absolutely terrible at being up front with their own feelings. Either way, Draco Malfoy had never been able to snag an actual girl he was interested in--aside from that horrible girl named Pansy, who ranked right up there with the most terrible of Picasso’s paintings in his book. And that was being nice. The Slytherin listened to Aladdin with more attention than what he had even given to his own studies in the past few weeks. The man’s words sent his mind into a whirl of thoughts, broken only when the other male’s hand connected with his robed shoulder. There was a brief moment in which Draco thought to jerk away--to tell Aladdin that the robes on his body cost more than the man had spent on food within the last week--but, he kept his mouth shut, not wanting to break this new flood of information. “Charm her, you say?” Draco’s brows rose, thin fingers stroking a chin completely void of hair as he began to pace. “And you say this works for you? I mean, I must admit...I know quite a few spells. Alohamora, Jelly Legs Jinx...” He paused, feet coming to a standstill. “Tell me about this...subliminal way to get this girl to give into me, my good man.” He placed a hand on Aladdin’s shoulder, having to reach a bit to do so. “After all, it never hurts to be prepared, right?”

6: Gentle Peck

Draco had never meant to feel what he did after seeing Hermione at the ball. These emotions were, to say the least, quite irritating. He had always prided himself on being what Lucius wanted him to be–though it seemed that he feel short on those desires more often than not. These new feelings, however, were ones that he couldn’t just push out of the way or forget. He tried–dear Merlin did he try–but Pansy just didn’t quite compare to the image of Hermione in that dress.

Even after a couple of days, he couldn’t rid himself of it.

When he caught sight of her–quite alone–after classes let out, it seemed as if his feet were moving of their own accord. He found himself stood in front of her, fumbling for words. The butterflies were starting up again, the fluttering mixing with the knots that had already settled uncomfortably in his stomach.

‘You can do this, Draco. Just…say something.’ His hands gripped at his robes, mouth opening and closing to those words that just couldn’t seem to make their way past the lump in his throat. Just where did his father get the confidence he had? And why did Draco have such a difficult time calling up that same amount of it?

Finally giving up on speaking, he leaned toward her and pressed his lips against hers in a swift peck. An immediate bout of shyness overtook him and his gaze turned to the floor, hoping it would swallow him whole.
