But there is another matter: today my Google account received several Digital Millennium Copyright Act notices from Kodansha. The Google Drive backup has come to their attention.

Vol. 33 has already been taken down. As more DMCA notices are issued, the Google account where the Drive folder is hosted will be taken down too. Please download your favorite chapters before this happens!

aw shoot so it's VIZ Media that has been issuing the copyright strikes on this tumblr blog? that makes me feel a bit hopeful that they may have an interest in officially releasing the TF go! go! comics to the west, and that still makes me angry for you that they've taken down your fan translations which weren't even being monetized. regardless, thank you so much for your work!

Yes, it is VIZ. I also have hopes that they will release an official translation! No other reason why an American company would reach out to Tumblr instead of Kodansha themselves.

The Google Drive is the definite plan for now. I encourage everyone to upload the translations elsewhere! There are many scanlation websites that I sadly cannot access from my country.

This project also can't have financial support, as it would make things even worse with VIZ Media... But I really appreciate your offer!

Thank you for the archive! Will the chapters with just the cards have their comics uploaded eventually or have they been lost?

Hi anon!

Some volumes are "card only" because they are digital re-issue of chapters from the paper magazine.

For example, digital volume 25 on Telemaga's website is actually volume 14 (print). Because volume 14 already has a translation, instead of translating it again, I only posted the new character card (which is always absent from print edition).

When you see "card only" folders, it simply means that volume has already been translated before!

it looks like the entire blog has been copyright claimed... is there any way for you to create maybe a drive or document containing all of the translations for archival purposes? i have some fragments of your translations saved from showing friends, but i really hope to not lose your translations entirely, seeing as theyre a great resource for the community (and generally brings the manga over to a broader audience.) if you cant, i entirely understand and would like to honestly thank you so much for introducing this manga to so many people, frequently checking back here brightened up my days, and i wish you well going forth.

Uploading the chapters to another platform seems like the best approach. My plan is to create another archive for this blog in a scanlation website.

However, I also can't deny that this experience was very scary, and very undermining too. Almost every post in this blog has vanished. I want to take this time to think about all legal implications going forward.

To answer everyone's questions, the past week I've been trying to figure things out, but Telemaga and Hasbro have the final claim in this case. Because this blog is scanlation, there is no basis against the copyright laws.

My idea was to upload to another site, or abandon this project due to possible legal action. Everyone, please let me know what you think!
