A new type of experimental "farm" has been launched in the Netherlands — it does not contain animals. Instead, meat from cow cells is grown in bioreactors.
According to the developers, the finished product is practically the same in taste and texture as regular meat. At the same time, manufacturers have the opportunity to regulate the balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. This method does not involve slaughtering animals, and it also reduces production costs.
So far, the project is at the testing stage, and it is planned to reach full-fledged operation by 2028.
