thats the thing, unfortunately rather obvious conclusions are very much not known to the majority of all people, thats why there is so much strife observed everywhere, I wish for a future where people are introspective and a future where this is an obvious conclusion, where questioning ideas is not forbidden and getting questioned for your ideas doesnt hurt you but cheers you, and just wishing for it to be true cant bring it to reality, it starts by sharing what i know and hoping people listen and hopefully i get to listen what they have to share too. As for the last part yeah the biggest question is why every organism fears death to the point of ensuring that it is delayed not till infinity but until its own progeny is born, pretty hard to answer without falling into hypotheticals or assuming things but thought of a pretty ok theory for this back in august 2022
why do organisms fear death?
its cuz the organisms that live today are the descendants of the organisms who lived and survived the past
and if an organism didn't evolve the fear of death it will be more likely to die, (as death is a natural process of the body just starting to get worse)
which is why only the organisms which fear death are able to spread their genes
and the organisms that live today all fear death
because it is something that has evolved over time
otherwise there isn't really anything scary about death
because fear itself is something that has evolved
if an organism dies it probably won't affect the universe as much
so it doesn't really matter
but simply because of how evolution works
the fear of death has become so prominent and unanimous in organisms that live today
it is an instinct to not want to die
otherwise there isn't anything scary about it
maybe that pain one might suffer right before they die
humans are pretty much the only animals who can go against their instincts
when they think rationally
tldr; we fear death because we evolved to fear death, like you said, better explained above
