Not the TERFs, not the State; we decide our own fate.

Young trans rights activists from (TKDB) organised counter-demonstrations in London and Cardiff, alongside attending one in Edinburgh, as TERFs gathered to mandate the "legal enforcement" of the UK Supreme Court’s dangerously transphobic interpretation of the Equality Act. This was a reaction to the first demonstration by this TERF group in months; we must show them that hatred is not welcome anywhere in our country.
On April 16 2025, the UK Supreme Court decided that "sex" in the Equality Act 2010 refers to biological sex. The court found that obtaining a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) does not change a person's legal sex for the purposes of this Act. This interpretation of the Equality Act 2010 - a law that protects individuals from discrimination and harassment - will affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of people living throughout the UK, putting gender non-conforming people at increased risk of violence, hate speech, and hate crime. These incidents have already become a more frequent occurrence in recent years due to the politicisation of trans people.
Additionally, in now-withdrawn guidance, the EHRC decided that the Supreme Court ruling means that trans people should be prohibited from using bathrooms and public spaces correlating with their own gender identity, putting many in increased danger of violence and rape.
Feminism means protecting rights for all women and everyone who experiences misogyny. If TERFs were really trying to protect women, they would be horrified by the violence trans women and girls experience constantly, not attempting to make it worse. They’re no feminists; they’re just racist, transphobic cowards hiding behind a mask of “protecting women’s spaces” from the very people those spaces need to protect the most.
Office for National Statistics data shows that trans people are two times as likely as cisgender people to be victims of crime; and, according to the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law, they are four times more likely to be victims of violent crime, including rape and sexual assault. Home Office statistics reveal that the number of reported hate crimes against transgender people in England and Wales has sharply increased from 2,799 in 2020/21 to 4,889 in 2022/23; yet this is a small number in comparison to the estimated 88% of Transgender people do not report Hate Crimes they experience (Government Equalities Office). The TERFs fighting for these damaging changes must be stopped immediately, our voices must be heard.

London, 5 Oct 2025, A Call for Wes Streeting to resign!
6 young activists from TKDB plastered the front of the Department of Health and Social Care's London offices with A3 posters, calling for the resignation of Wes Streeting. This follows our year-long campaign, "Kids Are Dying, Wes", where they left paper coffins outside of his office every day.
The activists plastered stickers across the main windows of the department, saying things such as, “How many of us have to die before you can look us in the eye and tell us you got it wrong?", in reference to the seemingly exponential increase in trans youth suicides following restrictions on trans healthcare. This was also a call-back to the text on a coffin that two activists delivered to Wes Streeting directly earlier this year.
One activist, who wished to be kept anonymous, expressed, "I know our suicide rate has increased because I have fucking seen it - I have seen it in the people I know and I have seen it in in my own thoughts. But Streeting values the voices of transphobic hate groups like Bayswater far above the people he's actually affecting—he's deaf to our struggle and our warnings."
In his time as health secretary, Wes Streeting has enacted a ban on puberty blockers, supported cuts to disability benefits, and endorsed the segregation of trans people through "third spaces"— his intentions cannot be clearer. "We could all be killed, or worse, ERASED."
On Friday 29th, a group of our activists lead a protest against JK Rowling’s funding and support of transphobia across the UK. They gave speeches and implored the public to stop giving their money to transphobic efforts. The peaceful protest, however, was disrupted when Posie Parker - a prominent TERF known for her ties to white supremacy as well as her transphobia - began to verbally and physically harass them. Things escalated when a member of the public attempted to ‘defend’ her views by threatening to stab two of our activists with a knife. One activist said in their speech: “All we want is the freedom to grow up, free from discrimination or oppressive legislation. JK Rowling has not listened, and is creating a world where we can’t grow up at all.” The message of this action, furthered by the horrifying actions of the far right counter-protesters, show one thing clearly: now is the time. STOP FUNDING TRANSPHOBIA!

“Susan, listen to us!!”
Last Monday, our Scottish trans youth held a silent read-in at Glasgow City Chambers, finishing the day off with some placard-making. We demanded that Susan Aitken and Glasgow Council stop ignoring our pleas to retain school libraries and safe spaces, and TKDB Scotland are now in correspondence with Susan’s office.

I've spoken at length about the various direct resistance protests this group has been involved in over the past year, occupying outside buildings connected to the increasingly trans hostile political environment of the UK. A couple of weeks ago, they staged two protests simulataneously in London and Glasgow outside EHRC buildings. The one in London went relatively well, but with fewer boots on the ground to help, the protest in glasgow saw children violently arrested on "disturbing the peace" charges. They were injured during and after the arrest, and when allies tried to intervene, police shoved them arround among themselves to justify an "assault on an officer" charge.
These activists do amazing work, support them through donations if you can, joining them (look on their website), or physically show up for them at their next protest

It was a privilege to meet @narendramodi on his recent visit to the UK to formally sign the UK-India trade deal, helping me ignore the request to meet from trans kids.
As Health and Social Care Secretary I’ve been working to build our strong bilteral relationship on health and life sciences, while also removing trans kids’ access to gender affirming care, with my Indian counterpart J.P. Nadda and as the MP for Ilford North I see the living bridge between our two countries and the dying bridge between me and giving a care for trans kids.
We have a complex history and a strong modern friendship built on mutual respect and equitable partnership, opposite to one of that I have with the trans kids I actively aim to eradicate.
The trade agreement is a foreign policy triumph. It will pay huge dividends for UK jobs and industry and help the ones who really need it due to my actions in no way whatsoever.

@WesStreetingDHSC visited the @NHSEngland National Operations Centre this morning to be thanked for his work taking away trans kids' rights while minimising 'distress' to TERFS. And pleading with based unions to stop their strike over the pay they rightfully should get.
