think about it this way, people are more likely to write a review if it fails rather than works right? Plan B is still Plan B even if it's in its generic form, can I ask what you took? Plan B isn't 100% effective but it's about 95% effective within 24 hours and 90% effective within 72 hours.

i’ve taken plan b once before and had what i guess you’d say were the ‘usual’ side effects - my period was a week early, even heavier than normal, and a lot more painful. the brand i took this time is called take action. i took it around 24 hours after. i don’t know if my symptoms are just from where i took it earlier in my cycle (i’d only been off my period for about five days when i took it) or from the pill itself or something else entirely.

my period is supposed to start sometime this week (my cycle varies a lot) so if i still haven’t gotten it by the weekend i’m going to take a pregnancy test. some of the reviews i read also said that their pregnancy tests were negative but their periods were very late. i’m just scared right now

Take action and Plan B seem to be chemically the same both with active ingredients and inactive ones. It's possible that it just has to do with when in your cycle you took it. It's very well possible you were not ovulating when this happened especially if it was a the end of your cycle.

Do you have anyone in your life who can help you or comfort you? I think that's what you need especially right now. If you are pregnant it's not the end of the world, do you have access to a Planned Parenthood? If you're not in the United States I'm not really too sure about where you can and can't access abortion. You'd know you're pregnant really early and they could give you a pill.

my family is almost 100% pro-life so i have to keep all of this hidden from them. my boyfriend says he’ll support me, but he also got mad at me when i told him i was going to look into getting my tubes tied ASAP because “there are less permanent options,” so i don’t know what he’ll actually do if we’re in that situation.

i think there’s one clinic in my entire state that performs abortions. i know where one planned parenthood is, but i don’t think they can actually perform abortions and can only refer you to another clinic. i already know that if i am pregnant and it’s an option for me i’m going to choose a medical abortion, it’s just a matter of doing it without the pro-lifers in my life finding out about it. i don’t really feel safe with anyone in my life finding out if the test is positive.

your boyfriend doesn't seem like he respects your autonomy from what you've said to me and I'm very sorry he doesn't want you to get a procedure you want to get. He should respect your wishes.

Having to take Plan B/emergency contraceptive is probably really hard on your body isn't it? are you unable to go on hormonal birth control or use another form of birth control?
