atla and naruto characters that would be friends according to me:

aang and rock lee, that's a given. they're just silly goofy hard working sunshine boys who would have lots of fun together.

katara and sakura. strong personality, comes off as a little aggressive but love her friends SO MUCH. people hate them for acting as kids/teenagers when they did nothing wrong.

zuko and gaara. daddy issues, a rough past and a ex enemy turned friend that shows them the right way. they would stay in comfortable silence drinking tea together.

toph and neji. both have problems with their families and have to be tough to survive. they start softening up when they find the right friends. they have different energies but they would have a lot to talk about.

sokka and naruto. underdogs, taken for granted and the funny friend. they would have so much fun together but it would drive everyone crazy.

suki and temari. feminist icons beating the misogyny out of their future boyfriend. they seem to be rude at first but they're very fun. they would probably train together and fall in love.

yue and hinata. moon princesses, extremely kind and ready to die for what they love / believe in. would be the softest pair, always supporting each other.

mai and sai. people are quick to judge them but they might surprise them. they would spend a lot of time trying to understand people better together.

ty lee and ino. the definition of besties. they would have so much in common they would probably be roommates and turn into the most intimidating yet fun duo.

iroh and kakashi. they're just chilling.
