âhelpâ is my favorite way to say that something is funny. like hey i laughed at this post can you save me
What We Do in the Shadows illustration, now in color
really specific trope i like that i feel like can only be explained in a diagram
let's all have a fun time looking up new words when we encounter them to see what they mean before incorporating them into our vocabularies
Getting down on my knees and thanking the humans who invented dishwashers and washing machines.
InsNe that dishwashers are more efficient and easier than just washing them manually but they also use less water. Itâs a win win situation
They ALSO sterilize dishes, due to operating at a far higher temperature than human hands could ever tolerate. It's a win every way.
Made this post about 15 minutes after the repair guy who fixed the pump on my dishwasher packed up his tools and left, as the dishwasher was whirring along doing my dishes from that morning.
He said the exact same thing, which I did not know before that, so spreading this knowledge.
seeing news about the fallout remaster announcement feels like cruel irony to me
microsoft games are a bds boycott target, and because both bethesda + obsidian are owned by microsoft, this includes the games published by them.
microsoft is gonna further profit from a new virtual playground of ~post-apocalyptic bombed out towns in the desert~ while contributing to creating bombed out apocalyptic conditions in gazan towns, by collaborating with israel on so many fronts that bds calls microsoft the most complicit company in palestinian genocide.
and nostalgia-baited fans will still buy it bc playing pretend in a virtual world thats a knockoff of what real life people are currently facing â a virtual world funded by that very suffering of those real life people â is more important to them than simply playing a different game
anyway, to make this rant productive â if you have the means to send donations to palestine, heres some community initiatives:
Monaâs community aid initiative â verified by el-shab-hussein
The Sameer Project â has a british partner org, so UK folks can donate with gift aid here with no transfer fees
Revive Gaza Farmlands â has a canadian partner org, so canadians can donate via direct bank transfers with no transfer fee
Crips for eSims for Gaza â canda-based, so canadian e-transfers saves on transaction fees
One of the best letters Iâve ever seen just popped up on my Facebook memories. Still makes me laugh.
As today is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, itâs a great time to revisit Dinah from Devonâs memory of this historic event. And yes, still makes me laugh.
Today is the 54th anniversary of the moon landing, but Dinahâs diary entry is still absolutely magnificent.
57th anniversary of the moon landing and the best diary entry in the history of diary entries. Sit down Samuel Pepys, itâs over. UGH.
Nosering and tattoos of a Mir woman
what annoys me about explaining evolution to people who donât think itâs real is that everyoneâs idea of how it works seems to be from this
Whereas the reality is far more like
Was not expecting this many of you to resonate with Millennium Death Plinko
One of these days the horse is gonna come out of pinko with opposable thumbs, and then we're all in trouble.
"bosch" doesn't sound like the name of a guy who'd make paintings like that. but when you add "hieronymus" to the mix it starts to make sense
Thinking about a new bit where i start using âworkers of the worldâ as my go-to second person plural pronoun. Like âchatâ.
Workers of the world what do we think of this. Is it funny.
Workers of the world please like and reblog my post
