Meg sat on the bed of her dorm room, and saw the vacant bed opposite hers. Despite the fact they were room mates, she hadn't seen Babbette in a while. She didn't know her well enough to know whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. She gazed out of the window, watching the moon for a while, and thought back to him. She swore violently before turning her attention to the mirror on the door. She stood up, and stood sideways to it, checking her width. Meg pinched at the little fat she saw there. Still too much. She marched over to the bed, and pulled out a jar from underneath it, empty and glittering from the moon's light - the only source of light in the room.
It wasn't her first time she had done this. She had had to to it to hide her 'diet' from her mother. By now she had a routine. Tying her hair back into a ponytail, she was pleased that she had drunk practically a gallon of water just an hour or two ago, and begun the process. As volume after volume of food came up, she could feel herself feeling better. Once done, she wiped her mouth and prayed that her room mate wouldn't be back any time soon. She quickly stuffed some chewing gum in her mouth, and ran out to the dormitory hall and chucked the jar in a nearby bin, before running back. She lay down on her bed, finally feeling cleansed and relaxed for the first time she had arrived there, when she heard a knock on the door.
