Luke Newton Covers Man About Town's Spring/Summer 2024 Issue(x) Photography by Kosmas Pavlos Styling by Luke Day Interview by Jonathan Bailey

Sulley was a damn mess and he knew that he did it to himself. Normally he’d be up and about and not really having time to think about what a shitshow his life was. But he was currently laying on the floor in a mess of a comforter after being pushed off by the cranky prince in his bed. Why he’d decided to sleep with this man was beyond him. Sure, he was hot but that was it. He could hear him shuffling around up there but he didn’t want to move yet. He didn’t want to admit that this was the fifth time he’d woken up to him and that it was likely not the last.
“You know the bed is big enough for the both of us.” He said after a minute. Honestly, this wouldn’t happen if Adam wasn’t such a cuddler.
@trashcanofpossibillites·
he was over himself trying to figure out how they had gotten to this location. although adam wasn’t one to complain. he had truly enjoyed each and every interaction. Sully had the silkiest skin and the smoothest lips, he’d ever had the pleasure of savoring. and consumed he had, again and over…and over again and again. he pushed himself up from the bed, skin shimmering with lovely drops of sweat. “james,” he called him, in a tone that was nearly authoritative but yet somewhat soft. “come on over. put an end to your whining.” fingers tapped on the white cover as he sighed a faint smile,
“or if you must, why don’t you protest with your lips against mine at least.”
Sulley was at a loss as to how he put up with him really. He was full of himself and petulant and demanding. Sulley who had grown himself to be calm and collected struggled to remain so when Adam was involved. He let himself into his life and had planted himself firmly there apparently.
“Adam, I’m not whining. I’m just letting you know that you’re terrible at sharing the bed.” Sulley was pouting but Adam couldn’t see him where he was so it was okay. He rolled his eyes at that. Stupid prince and his stupid pretty words. Sulley finally got up and crawled back into the bed next to him. “Just ask for a kiss. No need to be so poetic about it.”
Sulley was utterly irresistible. He relished in their back-and-forth, the arrogance, and the little disputes. They had a tight bond. Something that brought them back into each other's arms. Adam was well aware of James' dominance over him, and despite James' unwillingness to recognize it, he knew James felt the same way.
Otherwise, why was he still in his bed?
The prince observed with great interest as Sulley obliged with his demand. At least half of it. After all, his lips were still longing for that kiss, after all.
“James, you find my poetry unappealing? Here I was attempting to be romantic." index fingers tracing the trail of bite marks on his shoulder, the prince inched closer as he spoke "or would you rather a rougher approach?"
time. pascal. now those two things never mixed. pascal, being who he was, gave little attention to the suggestion that berlioz had tossed up about going out. he had savored the moments spent in his roommate's company? friend? close partner? he pondered on what they were. pascal fixed his gaze on himself in the reflection, attempting to tuck a defiant strand of hair behind his ear. He had no idea what to call berlioz. it was irrelevant since berlioz was uniquely him. he treated him with kindness and generosity, not as a commodity with a price tag. whenever he was with him he felt, like he was seeing right through him. and for some weird unexplained reason, It was OK; with a broad grin and bright eyes, pascal squeezed his cheeks together. he stepped out from the restroom and headed towards the person who had called out to him but found himself in the presence of a prince instead.
"whoa, you look" his gaze darted from side to side. he had never seen berlioz looking so fancy. "great" lips formed a lip, as he briefly found himself staring away shyly.
"i thought we were going somewhere casual? are you trying to impress me berliy?" he raised his eyes to meet his, innocently beaming at him.
Berlioz was a giver. He loved to give whether it be things, or affection but he drowned people in what he had to give. Pascal was no different. He was someone who was filled with kindness. Berlioz wanted to be able to give him everything he could have wanted. The smile on his face was more than a reward. Berlioz offered his hand to him as he walked over. "You look very good too, cheri. Are you ready to go?"
"Silly Berlioz"
With cheeks flushed and heated from the praise, Pascal couldn't help but return him an innocent smile. The kind of tenderness that Berlioz offered was foreign to him. It seemed fresh and genuine. Unlike the things, he had been through in his early years. It was pouring rain and dim as they stepped out of their flat, but he was reluctant to dwell in the past when the future appeared so much lighter in the other's presence.
Pascal pulled an umbrella from the backpack he carried, waving it in front of him, faint laughter betraying his excitement while raindrops coated his cheeks. "Hope you don't mind a little rain .. unless you do?"
"are you going to tell me where we're going?" he said, voice wavering as he extended his umbrella. "or is it a surprise?" he whispered as he drew closer.
SOPHIE SKELTON SQUARE MILE, JUNE 2023
Berlioz prided himself on being a good person. He knew he didn’t always succeed and that sometimes he was a little too overbearing and borderline rude. Pascal was a free being who wanted nothing more than to be happy and make others happy. It was easy to get lost in his light and he found himself jealous in how easily he lived life. He wished he could shake off the burden of being the eldest and work more towards living a life he’d be proud of and not care what anyone else thought.But today was about his roommate or well his friend? Could they be just friend with how often they ended up in each others beds? Again, irrelevant. He just wanted to get pascal out of the bathroom so they could commence the day of planned celebration! Pascal had mentioned his birthday and how he’d never really celebrated it and it broke his heart. If anyone deserved to enjoy their special day, it was Pascal. He’d already had to go to plan B since it was raining today but he was sure the rest of the day would be better!
“Come on, Pas! We’re running late.” Berlioz called to his friend from down the hall.

@thouscndcuts
Pascal had never envisioned himself sharing his living space with another individual, much alone having a roommate. A cute roommate. he found solace in the companionship that Berlioz had provided. Despite the frustration that he usually caused him for leaving dishes in the sink or maintaining an untidy space. Pascal couldn't help himself, not when his creativity tended to flourish in disorder.
Pascal was searching for his lucky blue ink pen. The same one that he refused to discard, although being in a severely deteriorated state. A deep exhalation accompanied the act of discarding the couch cushions onto the floor. He stood in the middle of the living room.

Archie gazed intently at the pocket watch nestled inside the antiquated and weathered woolen cloak. It is 10 minutes past 10 o'clock.Behind schedule.. again.But the danger was becoming worth it just to get a glimpse of his one and only friend. because that's what they were, friends. distant acquaintances. From Different ends and different journeys. The ball they would be tossing was something he had heard of. Rumors of a wedding and the potential bride at the conclusion of this fairy tale, which wasn't his. An outcome like that was never anticipated for somebody like him. Only a princess and prince have ever experienced such genuine bliss and love. The red queen served as a reminder of his social position. A pawn, with a terrible fate awaiting him, much like the haunting gaze emanating from the wicker basket. drab and lifeless. and gone forever.
no prospect of a purpose in life.
In those eyes, he discovered hope for this empire. in the little gifts that he smuggled in for him of a world outside the walls that is far worse. Archie pondered what the man would make of the crimson stamen in the middle of the white rose from the kingdom he was from.
i still think about these moments a lot.

he scribbled away at the notebook he kept in his back pocket oblivious to his surroundings trying hard to keep focused and complete the idea for the recipe he had been working on. but, someone tapped on his shoulder… at first he tried to ignore them and finish writing then they tapped again. “just one second. i’m finishing a very important thought.”
if there was one thing king hated more than anything else, it was being ignored. that and wearing clothes, but he had no choice but to do the second. he was still getting used to being in the human realm and all the rules that he had to follow, so we may have been a little bit distracted when he strolled around the city. he noticed a man who smelled like cheese (don’t ask him how or why) and couldn't help himself from approaching with the question of where they were.
“whats all that?” he asked, poking his head behind the others shoulder, the lack of personal space was still something he was still learning.
“scribbles. is that a new language?”
