Kermit liked to think he was a pretty easy-going guy. He took life as it came and tried to roll with the punches. He was very slow to anger but easy to frustrate which is why he was doing everything to resist punching the vending machine that had stolen his money and left him without his chocolate. "You've gotta be kidding me." He wasn't able to resist kicking the damned thing even if his toes paid the price.
to be fair to kermit penelope always had a way of bringing out the worst of people... even if it wasn't always intentional. and the last they had seen one another the blonde had certainly left things on a sour note between them. "wow, kermy. that's how you feel about seeing me again?" she was half joking and half serious because the thought of everything not being about her never crossed her mind. "taking it out on the vending machine?"

Anaïs Nin in a diary entry written c. July 1944, featured in The Diary of Anaïs Nin Vol. IV 1944-1947
the fight left Marie's body as soon as the other apologized. not that she would ever stoop to such uncouth behavior. ladies did not start fights they finished them but there was nothing here that needed to begin in the first place. "apology accepted." her tone was as sugary sweet as the pink that adorned her body. her held tilted slightly, her interest piqued at the revelation he knew the chef. marie was used to using her connections to get what she wanted. it was all in good faith of course. she never did anything for her own personal gain it was always for the benefit of others. this just so happened to benefit her dear, annoying brothers. a soft gasp left her lips as she brought her hands to her mouth. "oh my! It is wonderful to meet you monsieur remy! I have heard incredible things about you and your restaurant." she beamed at him as excitement dripped from her tongue. Marie could tell he was a bit awkward when it came to social engagement but she found it quite endearing. "Oh that would be just wonderful, thank you. My brothers and I have made a big move from Paris. I wanted us to have a special dinner together. Everyone recommended you." she smiled. "I do love surprises. Alright, I trust I am in good hands." the woman clasped her hands behind her back and eyed for a moment. "How long have you been cooking?"
he could feel his cheek burning red at her words. she was kind... too kind. he was just a chef. but, to be at his level it meant having an ego. they say to be the best chef in the world you have to be a little egotistical and it helped when a beautiful woman such as herself was boosting it with excitement. "move from paris?" he asked, brow raising at the realization, "what a small world it is. i was raised in paris." he said with a small chuckle, "listen, i will try my best to make a perfect meal for my new friend, marie, and her brothers from paris." he was excited to cook for someone from back home. and thats when it hit him. she was a celebrity. marie beaumont. that's where he knew her from. so, yes, he better make a perfect meal. "oh, the short answer is i've been a chef for ten years.. but i've been cooking since before i can remember. do you cook, miss marie?"
Logan stared at his brother for a moment. He should honestly be used to his ridiculous ideas. "that's an idea alright." Logan sighed. "And how are we getting home? Why are we going home?"
beckham didn't respond at first. he just glared at logan from where he stood. of course logan would rather stay and be comfortable but his own gut was telling him they needed to go back to hallow falls. "i think mom is in danger, logan." he stated simply. which wasn't a radical idea. of course their mother was in danger... she lived with the man they were cursed with for a father. but, beck had a feeling deep down like she needed them. "i think she's sending me messages some how... i just-- look, i can't explain it. but we have to go save her."
