I have this habit of getting super obsessed with a show, but not actually watching it.

I'll watch compilations and analysis videos, but not the actual show. Eventually I'll actually watch it, and then drop and restart a couple of times.

Anyway, I just got to the point in Brooklyn 99 where Rosa comes out.

I'd already watched clips of her coming out: to Boyle, the precinct, and her parents. But I never realized how well it flowed together.

I'm pansexual. Rosa's coming out was one of the most relatable things I've ever seen. My parents were more accepting, but had the same kind of ideas.

The show did it perfectly. I came out to so many people before coming out to my family.

Them showing the acceptance by friends and fellow LGBT+, next to the denial from family. It hit so close to home.

It was amazing how well they showed what that's like. I know that's not the case for everyone, but they showed the fear and the hurt so vividly.

And Holt's words at the end about the world becoming a better place when someone admits who they are, that made me tear up.

I don't know if this made any sense, but I love Brooklyn 99.
