Also to add more lore to this take, Lari was choosen to be scion not to be protector of Gavel BUT to use her godlike power to go out of Aldorei to convert people to the Light hence why the High Priest indoctrinated her to be pacifist and follow the way of the Light despite Orphion do not hold the same belief(essentially indoctrinate her intoa belief that her religion is not really about). However the Parasite would arrive and throw a wrench into that plan causing Lari to be pretty much abanoned tools for a plan that she meant to be a part of which explain why Orphion ghosted her afterward and just left her there to simply delay the Parasite while keeping her in the back pocket to sacrifice her later when needed.
