i also wanna write abt the other chrysos heirs spoiling the absolute shit out of phainon like man deserves it
i hc that aglaea has almost like a maternal instinct towards him cuz she basically raised him, ever since he was prophesized as the deliverer. i have so many angst ideas for this like how phainon has always felt the weight of her expectations and aglaea never realizing how much he holds her in high regard, and she would always prioritize his wellbeing over the prophecy, even if she had dedicated her entire life for the flame chase
aglaea lost nearly all her humanity from almost a milennia of being a demigod but something about the scrawny little thing that fate has burdened with the title of deliverer made her heart ache in a human way. this child who lost his entire world and came to okhema, empty eyed and wan smiled, dressed in rags and carrying a small sack filled with little treasures from his hometown that survived its massacre. so many refugees carried the same weight of losing their homes yet this one particular boy stood out amongst all of them - not just for being a child of prophecy, but something about him awoke feelings that she once spared towards a little kitty thief at her tailor shop, before she was touched by divinity.
aglaea the goldweaver, ever noble and lofty, had kneeled in front of the child, uncaring of the dirt that got on her pristine dress. the boy's dull eyes turned to her, a question lurking in the still depths. she smiles.
"hello, child. may i know your name?"
the prophecy never told her this childs name. it only told her his duty, his past, and the fate that awaited him.
she wanted to know this boy -heavens, he couldnt be older than ten- by name instead of title.
the boy opens his mouth to speak. his cracked lips part, uttering a soft, broken sound.
she holds a hand out to him. "phainon, welcome to okhema. i hope it can become your new home."
as for tribbie, i think they spoil him in their own way. they've always gone soft on kids, but phainon especially so. tribbie had taken one look at the scrawny little country boy from a ruined village and took him under their wing immediately.
growing up, phainon would always be seen trailing after at least one of the tribbies, if not being herded by all three of them. it made for a comical sight especially as he slowly outgrew them more and more, where they had once only been half a foot apart in height.
trianne played tag with him, with the excuse of building stamina. trinnon sat him down and taught him anything he wanted to learn. tribbie brought him on adventures throughout okhema, sloely but surely integrating him into the locals life. aglaea watched from a distance, always ready to pluck them out of inevitable trouble.
will add more once i wake up lol
