@traumabb
Hey. Hey you. The person aimlessly scrolling, stuck in an immobilized standoff with your brain
It's not your fault. You won't be stuck forever. I know you're trying. I know you hate it. It's ok.
And tell the Mean Voice in your head that it's not helping. It knows as well as you do that you would get up and Just Start the task if you could. You're not doing this on purpose.
Take a deep breath. Relax your jaw. I see you trying so hard to break out of it, but you can't force it. You'll get Unstuck eventually. All you can do in the interim is be kind to yourself.
Wishing all undiagnosed/partially diagnosed people a very doctors listening to you and providing you with more testing than a blood draw and even possibly providing treatment 2025
"everyone should care about accessibility because most people will become disabled at some point in their life" is a logical argument and I understand its popularity
however, everyone should care about accessibility because disabled people are fellow human beings living in the same society as you who deserve the same rights as you
thank you good night
Being chronically ill in your 20s is stupid you have to see your peers like “started a family🥰” “got married😍” “bought a house😇” “scored a promotion😋” meanwhile you’re fighting for your life to take a shower
They (my chronic illnesses) just hate to see me winning (not being debilitatingly exhausted)
having an invisible disability is so ridiculous because sometimes even I forget it's there and suddenly I'm like "oh hey why tf am I in so much pain right now" and then I remember that my body just Does That
its always "prove ur pain or ur guilty of faking til a doctor says otherwise". like why the "guilty until proven otherwise " rhetoric? my existence IS NOT A CRIME, my pain aint up for debate, and this is not a damn court hearing.
I sure do love having “my body hurts, goes numb, and is tired all the time and we don’t know why” disorder. It pairs very well with my “I have a constant need to be doing things that I enjoy or I will implode from boredom” disorder.
This post is about fibromyalgia and ADHD.
"We got duped."
No, you idiot, you gleefully ignored warnings about Project 2025 and made excuses because you're a cruel asshole who saw all of Trump's flaws and lifetime of chronic fraud as strength.
Free mass transit, paid family leave, childcare, and zero tuition or we disappear you into a foreign prison cell for a social media meme.
Your choice!
Charlie Kirk may have a 70 IQ, but his racism comes in around 20 points lower.
what is it with able bodied people saying “get well soon” after you say that you’re chronically ill?? like? i am not gonna? and i once literally responded with “i’m not gonna, it’s chronic, as in permanent.” and they went like “oh well, hope you get better!” like bro 💀
I was recently diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy which is a rare kidney disease and autoimmune disorder. The past year has been one of the hardest. My friend and family died. I was assaulted again. I was uprooted from my job. I had a cancer scare. It makes so much sense now. The joint and muscle pain despite the lack of exercise. Not being able to exercise because of fatigue. Chronic fatigue so bad I took days off of work. I thought my depression had just gotten bad again. We increased my medication. I’m so angry and sad and scared. I’m so fucking scared. I’m still grappling with the fact that I’ll be sick for the rest of my life. I might enter ESKD and have to go on dialysis. I’m only 27 years old.
"sickness, self-portrait" 10x10 acrylic on canvas
about feeling defined by illness and disability, and that all I'll ever be is a sick person trying to masquerade as something more.
Another Kremlin policy to kill Americans put in place by MAGA traitors.
as someone with cystic fibrosis this pissses me tf off too. it's SOOOO dangerous for me, and manyyyy chronically ill people to breath in. if that stuffs gets in my lungs, my survival chance will likely be lower than able-bodies. i have not done research into this, but a quick 2 google searches, along with porthero's post told me it all.
this is a fucking disgrace upon the country. as of rn, i'm kind of sad to say im an American bc of THIS FUCKING SHIT. i can't anymore, this is too much.
