Yangshuo (waterway)
There’s two ways to have a taste of Yangshuo from Guilin. One is bamboo raft. Two is pleasure boat.
DIY tour can choose to take regular bus from bus terminal to Yangdi wharf.

There’s age and height limit, kids under 7years old within 1.2meter and above 70 years old is forbid to take raft. When your family or friend can’t take the raft then you need to take the pleasure boat to enjoy your tour. Timing is about 4 hours. Pleasure boat have two kinds of boat, regular and luxury. Simple meal will be served at noon.

Longji Rice Terraces
Longji Rice Terraces is honored as the best Terraces of the world and he best photo-taking place. The Terraces with her golden all over the mountains and plains attract amount of people to visit during harvest season.
Traffic:

Tips:
If this is the fist time you have come to Guilin we don’t recommend self-driving travel because of the path to Longji Rice Terraces runs zigzag up the hill. It’s can be dangerous if you don’t familiar with the travel line.
Through Longji scenic spot to go up the mountain need to take the special vehicle(40RMB). You need to ask if the charge including this project if you have intention to sigh up to Travel agency. It’s OK if it’s not. The cost is well-known as 40RMB.
Guilin (桂林)
The best Travel time
To travel to Guilin is April to October. Guilin will enter rainy season in late may. The water level in Lijiang River will rises with rapid current and muddy water but the water temperature’s still low. You can still enjoy the last dreamlike scenery at Lijiang River. The rainy season end by July, water will be limpid, then the busy season will follow. Therefore I suggest take off by May or September if you’re afraid of the heat.
Tips:
1. April is Head of Spring in Guilin, pack a piece of interchange jacket to keep out the wind.
2. May and June is rainy season, powerful humid. Although the maximum temperature is about 32C but because of the humidity the weather is muggy. So that it’s but to put on your thin cloth.
3. July and August is during midsummer, remembering your sun block. It’s best to put on your flat shoes when you go out climbing or playing with water.

It’s made by stir frying glutinous rice, pork, chestnuts, mushrooms and shrimp and red beans. Wrapping with bamboo leaves into a pyramid shape, and tie them, then braise them in a soup. With lard and rice’s smooth and chestnut’s glutinous match with sweet chili sauce.
Noodle with satay sauce
This dish is very popular in Xia’men and is sold in almost every noodle shop. The soup has a clay color due to the addition of ground peanuts, which give the dish a rich aroma. There is also a hint of spiciness in it but not too strong. You can add various condiments to the bowl of noodles, including squid rings, shrimp, pork belly, pork innards and so on

Unlike northern habits to eat at Start of Spring. The Spring pancake used to be eaten during Spring or Tomb-sweeping day. Extremely thin cake with Tiger moss , crushed peanuts, egg filaments and greens, fish meat, shrimp meat, crab meat, oyster cakes……

Xiamen (厦门)
10 Chinese dishes you can't miss in Xi'an
(The following site contains a reproduction from
http://edition.cnn.com/2015/11/08/foodanddrink/china-xian-must-eat-food/index.html)
01. Flatbread in mutton soup (yangrou paomo) – Yangrou paomo is the mosticonic dish in the Xi’an foolscap. The ritual before eating a paomo – tearing the bread into small pieces yourself before letting the chef turn it into a stew– is as enjoyable as the dish itself.
02. Xian meat burger (roujiamo) – Roujiamo is the city’s favorite burger. A delicious roujiamo is composed of two key elements – juicy shredded braised pork and a crispy baked bread.
03. Cold noodles (liangpi) – Rice noodles are cooked, cooled and thinly sliced. The noodles are often served in a sauce made of chili oil, pepper powder, vinegar and diced garlic. Then it’s garnished with bean sprouts and sliced cucumber.
04. Biangbiang noodles – commonly described as resembling a belt, biangbiang noodles are wide, thick and long. One string of noodles can easily fill you up.
05. Hot and sour soup dumpling (suantang shuijiao) – Who can resist a bowl of dumplings swimming in hot and sour soup with sesame seeds , minced leek and cilantro? Suantang shuijiao is flavorful and refreshing with a lingering (and pleasant) aftertaste.
06. Steamed beef and wheat powder (fenzhengrou) – This unassuming-looking dish packs 23 herbs, spices and seasonings into one serving and requires seven hours to cook.
07. Kabob (chuan’er) coated with chili and cumin power, it’s a highlyaddictive midnight snack for Xi’an residents. It’s not unusual for locals to order 100 of them in one go.
08. Pomegranate juice – Pomegranates are a local specialty product. Pomegranate juice stands pop up around town every fall.
09. Glutinous rice and date cake (zenggao) – Cooked overnight in a zeng – a traditional earthen utensil– most vendors only prepare one batch of zenggao (glutinous rice and date layered cake) a day.
10. Soup dumpling (tangbao) – Shanghai’s xiaolongbao? Wrong. It is Xi’an’s own version of soup dumplings. Instead of pork, tangbao in Xi’an is mutton meat and soup packed into a paper-thin wrapper.
