♡ ❜ aurora .

just like the rest of glory valley, aurora had ended up with a cute pink flyer in her hand-painted mailbox to announce the weekend-long, town-wide party. if that hadn’t been enough, the sounds of laughter and entertainment floating down her block from main street would’ve told her which way to go; even she couldn’t turn down the offer to get dressed up and go mingle. she thought she fit in great, in her pink dress and red heart-shaped sunglasses. she’d picked them up before moving here, but never had the chance to wear them until now. she’d even otped for some very glittery pink lipstick to bring the whole look together, the epitome of soft girly girl a juxtaposition to her normal creme-colored cableknit sweaters and messy buns. now, she was by the honeybrews stand, taking an experimental sip of their special lavender-rose hot tea. “ hmmm. ” it’s a soft sound, neutral, as the blonde turns to the familiar face nearest her. “ have you tried the tea yet ? ” she asked them, baby blues looking from the pink paper cup to the other. “ it’s actually really good - honestly ! i’ve never tried a flower-flavored thing before, but i think putting a little bit of honey in it really made it perfect. ” she laughed a bit and took another sip.

✦ ❜ had calum ever tasted the tea from honeybrews ? maybe once or twice, but it was a shared sip from his mother’s cup, someone who could drink the tea for days on end if she was allowed to . his mother had no real preference and surprising he was always fun as she would like anything calum had brought her . he was starting to wonder if she only liked it because it was calum himself who was buying it or if she truly did enjoy the different tastes honeybrews had to offer . he does not have his own cup in hand, as he was still wondering if he should order a coffee at this time of day or settle for some tea himself . even though they were just a stand at a weekend event, they still had their selection of things . ❝ that”s cute, ❞ calum smiles back at the female . aurora was so dainty in her own little way . ❝ honey ? in tea ? would you make fun of me if i told you that i haven’t had much tea from here ? ❞ calum then looks up to once again gauge what the stand has to offer . ❝ do you recommend anything else ? ❞

“It’s no big deal, but my new song is going to be featured on Mighty River Radio during the block party,” Leander said with a tone of mild excitement. While he may portray a bit of a lack of interest, but really he was trying to be cool about the whole thing. He would not tell anyone that he’d had a freakout moment after he’d gotten the call he’d been accepted. Things were finally happening. Who knew the big city boy could get by fine on his own?

bea grinned as she handed over the notes to go along with the flower grams she and her family had written out earlier. granted that she owned the rose petal nursery , so she didn’t really need to travel down to the booth , but she liked the atmosphere , and to check on how things were doing . she thanked the person behind the booth and stepped to the side to allow the next person to purchase their flower grams as she started exploring the rest of the block party. “ you know , i think this is my favourite time of year ! “ she uttered , to no one in particular .

✦ ❜ ❝ totally, ❞ calum agrees despite her not aiming the words at him . he looks up to see her and sends her a playful smile . of course he recognized bea — she was that girl at the flower place he went to whenever he wanted to try and please his mother . calum didn’t know she owned it, only that he saw her there too often . so of course she would be near the booth, too . he reaches out to her but pull his hand back before touching her to tap a finger on his chin . ❝ ma’am, ❞ he starts . ❝ do you think you could help me with picking something out ? i am so sure you know flowers and stuff better than a boy would . ❞

“Of course there will be coffee. Do you think there could even be any sort of party without it? Trust me, there will be plenty of fresh brews around. Just find the Mad Batters and Honeybrews Coffee House booths for some.” Cassie was more than excited for the festival, she’d been planning for it for a few months now. Well, ever since her shop had been tied to it at any rate. It was going to be a fun few days, that was for sure.
