Thoughts so far on beasts of the briar ✨

• I NEED more Dayton and Farron one on one scenes, why after the Farron and Rosie realizing they’re mates there’s been none so far??? They love each other so much, they should be exploring that individual relationship just like Rosie explores her own!

•EZRYN. My man. I feel like at certain points it shouldn’t be just Rosie with everyone. EZRYN vibes with everyone so well? The way Kel knows where he is, how he yearns to see his face, the pod scene with fare and Dayton & Rosie, the way he laughs and plays with Cas like… C’mon y’all 👀

• WHY in the first time Rosie and Dayton and Farron were all together Rosie mouthed I love you to Fare it felt so intimate and Dayton was RIGHT THERE. I was like no wonder bro feels like he’s on the outside and wants to find his mate y’all.

• Again, Cas seems to vibe or have a soft spot for all the boys, the way he said he was once just like Rosie I was like 👀 HMMM

• basically I want them all to be mates to each other and that’s my hot take okay bye

Finally read for the fans and oh my gosh I have thoughts: *CONTAINS SPOILERS, if you haven’t read and plan to, please keep scrolling*

•WHAT is going on with Theo??? He seems like something is up but it never says what’s going on with them

•also WHAT is going on with the QB that “accidentally” elbowed him in the eye ? 🤨 is he homophobic? Jealous? WHAT?

• the assaulters words will haunt me forever, it was just so twisted

•the way it tackled religion and faith really hit me, it’s so hard to believe when it seems no one is looking out for you, and that no one cares, if they would, how could they allow these evil things to happen?

•the fact that Kyran genuinely thought that if his assault was different it would’ve made Avi think he wasn’t his first broke my heart. Assault is NOT consent either way. No matter what happened, Avi was his first.

•I absolutely LOVED seeing Avi and Kryan’s story. I think it’s so so hard for people to understand how difficult it is to come to terms with who we are. Especially in Kyran’s story. He tried to push it down because of what happened and his father. I think the story was told so powerfully.

•I truly hope that they conquered the odds. What I would give to see their couple content on insta and how I wish these were real people, I feel so connected to these characters 😭🫶

• it really shows people are more than what you see on the surface.

When Neil and Andrew first come across Exy fan fiction and they both pause like .. wait a minute .. is this fucking play about us ???

Okay but like.. do you think the Foxes or Trojans read little gay books just like us? Like Andrew and Renee secretly have a club with Dan & Matt with a hockey romance month, Kevin grumbles how it’s a waste of time, Neil swears he doesn’t wanna join but when Andrew tries to turn the page on the bus too soon he throws his hand out stopping the page and says “hold on I wasn’t finished yet” Renee pops up from the other seat in front of them throwing a book down at him with an “I KNEW you’d give in” Kevin shoots him a glare from across the way “traitor” while back in Cali, Jeremy, Cat, and Laila are ALWAYS talking about these romance books lately that they overheard the foxes arguing over last game, and so Jean’s interest gets peaked a bit, he decides to join in on the book they’re reading, they’re all sitting around in the living room around the same page when he hits a certain spicy scene and his eyes bulge and he slams the book shut and walks into his room. The girls are yelling about WHAT, WHAT HAPPENED then two minutes later Jeremy catches up and starts cackling because him and Jean JUST did that this morning and-

I truly believe that the foxes and Trojans would be such a great friend group and face time / text each other all the time in the future like. Laughing at the on court rivalry??? Knowing irl they just hand out and do dumb shit. Doing check ins during hard times or just even in general. To the point where when they finally meet up at games or just to hang it’s not even a “oh how you been” but “let’s pick up where we left off”

Whats gonna happen when Jeremy finds out Jean’s been crushing on him for years? Like does Kevin let it slip? Is it overheard? Is that what suddenly makes Jeremy feel like it’s okay to put his feelings out there too? Or is it after they’ve been together for a while, and someone teases Jean that he finally got the man he used to look at pictures of and definitely didn’t matter what words were because he was just SO pretty. I bet Jeremy will just be teasing him so bad and Jean will be blushing calling whoever ratted him out an idiot.

Yeah, Jeremy has been crushing on Jean since he showed up but Jean has been crushing on him for YEARS. Jeremy and his stupid bleached hair and eyes that search everywhere for him and that smells of stupid boys that are not worth it. That wants to learn French for him and maybe break his heart all over again like the other stupid boy he taught but maybe.. maybe this time will be different. Maybe he can pretend just this once.. he could be happy.

Okay but picture this: Jeremy out sunbathing. Jean not understanding why because ??? We walk everywhere do you not get enough sun??? But alas he takes his shirt off to join Jeremy who suddenly goes very still. 10 minutes of quiet later he chances a look at a sweat glistened Jean and hurries up and grabs his shirt mumbling “yeah I don’t know why I thought this was a good idea either”
