Atticus Mulvaney crashing out because he's just realized he's the bottom in his own book had me rolling
(I am deeply Atticus-coded, in that I too want someone to take care of me, handle all of my problems, and tell me daily how incredibly wonderful I am.)

I loved this so much! I’m honestly at a loss for words, because it was so much fun getting to be back in the Mulvaney-verse following a new group of characters while also getting to check in with all my favorites.
I loved Ever and Arsen together! They were honestly the sweetest and I loved that they were both down bad for each other from the moment they met. I really liked that Arsen was so hesitant to start anything with Ever at first, because he had just rescued him from a really bad situation. I also liked that Arsen gave Ever a safe place to learn how to be himself and discover new things at his own pace and let him deal with his trauma in his own way. I also really appreciated that Ever wasn’t seen as helpless, that he went after what he wanted and advocated for himself when needed. And still got to be cute and sweet and make new friends! I loved them so much and I can’t wait to explore more of this series. Paladin is getting five stars!
August Mulvaney: I need to show Lucas that I’m the guy for him and not just an unstable psychopath killer.
Also August Mulvaney: I should break into his apartment while he’s not home so I can figure out his love language.
Also August Mulvaney: “I like the way your atoms are put together.”
