"… I do. Right now she isn’t ready, but in time she has the drive and the heart to do so." Sophia confirmed, "she’s too stubborn to give up."

Of course there were a few concerns… one being if she’d survive that long; would someone come to kill her or would she die by her own growing energy. Only time would tell.

The man just stared at Sophia for some seconds, until he opens a small smirk on his face. "Very well, I won't question anymore." Jeremiah utters, giving up quite easily, apparently her faith in Hannah were enough for him, so Jeremiah slowly starts to walk out to the hallway, until he stops midway. "You know, people in Britannia can always use new allies."

She hesitated at first when he had pulled away…she didn’t get to enjoy it enough. So, she reached out to him and grabbed his knight outfit jacket and pulled him back in for a kiss. But making it a bit more deeper than he had the first time. 

She knew though that this was wrong of her. To further their feelings…knowing what was coming…deep down she wanted to be able to keep going till her very last day. Luluko kept the kiss together for a good minute and then broke it apart, a gentle smile leaving her lips.

"Don’t apologize…" She breathed out softly.

The male blushed at the sudden pull and kiss, did she truly felt this way twards the knight, or maybe she were just manipulating his emotions so that he can feel at ease when the day comes, it would not be surprising for the young lady to do that. But to be honest, Jeremiah didn't cared, this moment, the feeling he was having right now, it has been years since the last time he felt that way. 

Once she let go of the kiss, the male kept his hands on her waist, while in silence for some seconds. Until he finally opens a smile and caress her face.

"You were always the rebellious type."

"Well royalty has changed this time, there is no going back at this point!" Sophia responded, "This was her choice… her age was frozen three years ago since she made her choice. I will not doubt my Tsar’s choice. Not anymore."

She straightened the bed sheets before brushing off her own skirt, turning to look at at Jeremiah… despite her diminutive size.

"The Tsar would never force this on anyone, he chose her and gave her the option to back out three years ago. Her highness stayed as she wants to help people, unite them and protect them. She already doubts her ability after what happened to her cousin, but she will learn. You have not seen what she can do." Sophia said sternly, striding past the destructive male.

"Unite and help people." The male gives a small chuckle, that all sounded way too familiar. "My emperor used to have the same ideals. And that end up with him sacrificing his life." He uttered as he looks at Sophia with a serious expression. "May you answer me something, lady Sophia?" He turns towards the young lady and approached her a few steps. 

"Do you truly believe in her? Do you believe in Lady Hannah?"

Sophia said nothing at first, smoothing out the jumper with care before turning to the guest, “At first her highness was uncertain. Not because she didn’t want it, but she felt as if she didn’t deserve it. She didn’t think she was very qualified to become Tsarina given the fact she’s… well she was a waitress.” The moon mouse sat herself on the edge of the bed, hands resting on her lap.

"She was indeed chosen, and she has grown in her skill and knowledge of the planets outside of Earth. But I must ask that you do not share this with anyone… if news got out she was not actually his child by blood it would cause an uproar. Humans are considered primitive, they would be furious that he did not select someone of their kind over her. They may even try and kill her before she has the chance to take the throne." Sophia explained calmly… it was a big risk for Hannah.

"....This is wrong!" The male uttered with a stern expression, keeping in in silence afterwards. "Royalty comes upon birth, it is not a place for a commoner. We all have our own place." He declared as he closes his eyes, as if he were trying to avoid certain memories to come inside his head. "When we  try to be more than we are, it shall only end in suffering, for you and others." 

'You were always a failure, Jeremiah. I should've known you weren't up for the job, now a life were lost because of your weakness.' Jeremiah gritted his teeth as he remember those words. Those memories were hurtful, but true, if only Jeremiah didn't tried to be anything else than a militar, a weapon for destruction, if only he refused being a guardian, perhaps his majesty would still live today.

'Interesting name, Jeremiah.. but it will work.' Lelouch thought as Nunnally spoke, “Lord Jeremiah, it has been several months since we last met and it is so nice to see you again. And it is nice to meet you, Alastair.” Lelouch slowly raised his head, showing brown eyes instead of purple (thanks to contacts. He took this moment to observe his darling sister and wished terribly to be beside her once more.

"Empress Nunnally," a new voice spoke and Lelouch all but bolted as Zero appeared out of the shadows. He sent a side glance towards Jeremiah to do something; his pulse sped up — this is not good, no not at all. "We should go. The crowd is waiting."

"Actually, Lord Zero, I thought I could speak with you privately, preferably before the main event." He utters, this would help Lelouch have more time with his sister, god knows the young noble wasn't the one to leave things half-done, Lelouch wanted to see if his sister were okay, and that is something only the former Zero can judge. "My friend Alastair could accompany the Empress to the crowd, it has been a while the young boy wanted to meet her. You do know how are kids these days, once they have a goal in mind, no one can take it off." He utters hopig that it would convince Zero, Suzaku were smart, but not a genius like the young Vi Britannia who preceeded him. Jeremiah would probably be able to fool him.

"I wish…things were different…that my life could be spared but I don’t know of any other plan. Just know you’ll always be in my heart, Jeremiah…" Luluko told the knight in front of her knowing she was trying her best not to shut down and throw out all the plans she had ready…she had to.

But a girl could dream, right?..

As the lady finishes her sentence, Jeremiah couldn't help his impulses anymore, so he cupped her cheek and landed a kiss on her lips. Such an impertinent move, the lady brought such things in him, Jeremiah would never have done that to Marianne even though he loved her all the same. 

He kept a tender kiss, but once he realized what he has done he let go of her, walks some steps back and looks away, trying to hide his embarassment.

"....Forgive me."

"Don't be rude, Jeremiah. People wish to know about the orange incident. Do tell~" Luluko asked as she was smirking on the inside. She had created that whole ruse and yet people still believed it.

"With all due respect, my lady, my reputation as the orange has already spread out enough as it is, I refuse to help propagate such foolish rumors."

"Stop!" Sophia snapped, though it wasn’t anger… it was worry. Taking the jumper from his hands she lid it on the bed with care, "This garment may not look like much, but it is precious to her highness… her mother made her it. It took me months of persuading before she let me touch it."

The jumper had a moon stitched into the front, a lot of love had gone into making it that much was obvious. Two pictures sat on the side of Hannah’s bed; one was a family picture… but the Tsar wasn’t included. Instead there was a man, a young boy, a young woman and a baby girl. In the other picture the young woman was a little older, the baby girl bigger… and wearing the same jumper that was laid carefully. It brought one question.

How did Hannah end up here?

"Oh...I see, forgive me." The male utters as he stares at the garment, such a childlike jumper, it must hold a deeply emotional significance to the lady to keep for all these years. He turns his gaze to a pictures near her bed, noticing a quite ordinary family, were the woman in the pictures the Tsar? He approached the other side of the bed to get a closer look at them, the lady in the pictures seemed like your everyday woman, although she was certainly quite similar to lady Hannah, no doubt she was her mother. He kept a couple of seconds in deep thought, until something came into his mind that made him hold a stern expression.

"....She was chosen by this 'Lord Tsar', wasn't she?" The male utters, that was the only possible explanation, no way such a simple lady would be royalty from birth. "Did Lady Hannah ever actually agreed to be this....Tsar's heir?"

"As long as her highness considers you are a guest then a guest you shall be. Though I shall watch you carefully." Sophia assured him, folding one of Hannah’s oldest jumpers with the utmost care… it was old and worn in a shade of navy. Obviously well loved.

"Heh, perhaps you and I aren't so different after all, lady Sophia, despine the outward appearance." He utters with a smirk, it was so refreshing to meet someone with the same level to loyalty as himself. "Well, regardless of yours or Lady Hannah's thoughts, you both have saved my life, and I'm in debt with you two." Jeremiah approaches the anthropormophic lady. "May I?" He asks as he reach for the jumper in her hand. And clumsily starts to fold the jumper himself.

"Oh uh....let me see here." Jeremiah has never done this before, he considered a plebeian task, but since he owes the ladies his life, he might as well make himself useful. "Fold it here....and there..."

"I would have prefered to lock you in the cells for questioning as a precaution… but her highness believes that you are a good man." Sophia replied, pausing for a minute before continuing, "she saw something in you thats she’s seen before. Regret. She believes you may have done things in the past but the moment you moved your blade from her throat she knew you’ve been trying to make a change. Thats all I can tell really. Humans are complicated creatures."

"Heh, you're quite sincere, lady Sophia, although I don't blame you, I would've done the same thing." The man utters with a smirk, however, quite impressed by Hannah's skill to read someone so well, Jeremiah's regrets were something he buried deep within himself, however, he neither confirmed nor denied the regret, he barely knew them, it was better for him to not talk about his past, not yet anyway. 

"Do you still think i'm not trustworthy? Surely what Zero said must have plant some doubts in your mind."

The general certainly had a flurry of sarcastic thoughts toward Jeremiah’s opinions, but he forced himself to hold back his sentiments.

Ishmael gave a slight sigh and slouched further in his chair, visibly growing disappointed. “That will be a ‘no’ once more, then. Moving on, what is your opinion on the prospect of forming a specialized counter-terrorism force to deal with threats like the JLF and Zero?”

"I believe the Purist Faction already got everything under control. My unit is currently looking for Zero's whereabouts, and I assure you that we won't rest, until Zero has paid for his crimes against the throne."

"Why the question General? Planning to replace us?" He asked in a joking manner.
