RIP Sharon Jones. The singer passed away today after a battle with pancreatic cancer. We were privileged to have her and The Dap-Kings twice in LA and once in San Francisco. She had an incredible voice and a shining spirit and she will be deeply missed.

George Harrison - Got My Mind Set On You (1987)

I am sure you will all know who George Harrison was. Got My Mind Set On You was released as a single on the 12th October 1987. Being the first single taken from the ex Beatles eleventh album, Cloud Nine, released 2nd November 1987.

The song it’s self was written by Ruby Clark and recorded originally by James Ray, and released in 1962. An edited version was released later in the year as a single on the Dynamic Sound label. It was then covered by Maxine Brown in 1967.
