Despite this being the most disappointing Oireachtas for me results wise, it taught me so many lessons I could not imagined I would have learned. Going from not being able to dance at nationals because of injury to being able to dance every single day preparing for Oireachtas was such a blessing. I’ve had so many people supporting me through thick and thin in the last six months and I am so incredibly grateful. Over the last few months I’ve been able to learn I have other goals than just competing. Not sure what’s in store next but I cannot wait to find out and continuing dancing every day, every chance I get. This sport has made me who I am today and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. (p.s. beyond thrilled I was able to wear my new dress for the first major, I absolutely love it)

To clear the air...

So I’ve seen some posts since the Oireachtas claiming that I copied someone else’s dress. I was personally very hurt by these posts because I thought that the person who posted the accusation was a friend of mine, but I guess I was wrong about that. I would just like to say that I had zero say in the design process, my new dress was designed entirely by my dance teacher. The only thing I asked for were flames, which, by the way, I’ve had on every single custom dress that I’ve ever owned. If you look at the two dresses in detail there are a magnitude of differences (especially on the back of the dress). I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but I would appreciate it in the future if someone has a problem with me or my dress to address me in person and not use social media as a backhanded way to criticize me. Thanks, and congrats to everyone at their qualifiers!
