And remember how annoyed we always were about the lines in seasons seven and eight that seemed to erase Peyton from previous storylines or criticized her character for having “abandoned” Tree Hill, such as Haley’s maid-of-honor speech, the conversation Haley and Brooke had when they found out that Peyton wouldn’t make it to the wedding, and when Brooke says “when Peyton said people always leave, who knew she was talking about her stupid ass.”
