Shhhhh, it may be bad form to mention a ladies age, but that doesn’t mean that that birthdays should be forgotten. Flavours. Sometimes, the style comes second, particularly if the birthday girl has a certain flavour in mind and it will only work with certain cake styles. Imagine a stout or dark-ale cheese cake? Colours and Additions. Colour and form are the first thing that we see with something as delicious as a cake and they need to be just right. While a cake is for eating and the enjoyment of flavours, the visual presentation is just as important, and with icing, buttercream, and frosting, you can make any kind of addition to decorate a cake. Whatever your theme, your baker will be able to create your dream cake.
And then there is lettering and writing that your baker will be able to able to create on the cake style that you have chosen. Letters can be made out of icing or written on it in buttercream. You can have any wording you want, to make the cake a really special one. Whether you want specific shapes such as roses, characters, or abstract shapes, your baker will be able to create then for you.
There is no longer any such thing as a traditional birthday cake, and it has become a case of a birthday cake being whatever the lady wants it to be. And birthdays have become better for that!
