The Treehouse server is a place full of vibrant people who love to chatter and who truly care for each other. People from around the globe gather at this one place to show their true colors!

Our server vibe Positive features of the server are that all the chats include a supportive community, a safe place for 13+ and a getaway from real life, where all can relax and be themselves. This is a nontoxic place where anyone can just chill out. Theme and purpose

We want to provide anyone whos looking for a place to question their current standing within the community or a place to let out their struggles and inner thoughts. We have sexuality and gender questioning channel, where people from the community may answer your questions. There is also the venting channel, where you may talk through an anonymous confession bot, or through text with an emoji system. Our server is full of great artists and an artistic community, where anyone can show off their art, share their progress and be appreciated for it.

something a little different to finish up 2023. these are some ecosystem illustrations i did for my summer job in environmental education this year, featuring local communities of plants and animals. it was a real challenge and very out of my comfort zone, but a super great project to work on, and i'm happy with how they turned out - and that they'll be used in programming for hopefully a very long time to come!

Why the tiger has become a transgender symbol in Japan

Gay Breakfast Pin Club writes:

Recently we learned about how some trans folks in Japan like to use tigers as a symbol for the trans community. It's a pun: Tora [虎] is the Japanese word for tiger, and when you sound out "trans" in katakana it basically starts with "tora." To-ra-n-su [トランス].

Toransu is clearly a loan word from English ("trans") that has been adapted to Japanese pronunciation (adding vowels/vowel epenthesis helps you avoid unpronounceable consonant clusters).

Daily drawing 1684: I often struggle with not doing enough with my art, which I acknowledge sounds weird with this being my 1684 daily post, but hear me out. I don't know when a drawing is done. One of the cool and sometimes difficult things with art is that there is no objective end point that you're aiming for. You can always add another detail, but does that detail help, hurt, or do nothing for the final image? It's a tricky balance to find, but pursuing that balance and experimenting with it is a lot of fun.

I completely forgot to post the finished piece on here!! whoops ^v^'

shading this was so much fun honestly, even if it took a little for me to come up with a way to draw the fur texture on the little rodent! my personal favourite is the mushroom in the center - it's just so shiny!!

it has been quite a while since I've had to use so much green in a single piece. not that I'm complaining! I'm the one who chose what to draw after all lol

February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2023! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb.

Here’s how it works:

Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw something mushroom related within that theme in order to join. The themes are Weird, Mystical, Malicious and Friendly. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!

If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄

I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary when posting your creations. I’ll be posting some of the creations here, and I’ll also be hanging out in the hashtag and comment sections!
