Really proud of the amount of detail I was able to put into my 25mm Gandalf miniature I painted for Lotr: Strategy Battle Game. The last pic is to give a sense of just how small it is.
A good wizard mini is neither large nor small, but precisely the size it means to be.

"She wants a guy who can cry and be sensitive" is the most unhelpful reduction of that longing imaginable. Imagine experiencing the impossible, haunting beauty of the world, feelings that make you want to fight or weep or scream until you taste blood and looking over at a partner that is utterly numb to it. What a terrible loneliness to share a moment with that. No one wants someone who can "cry and be sensitive", that's just them with their ear to a mouth, listening for signs of even shallow breath.
Painting monster flesh, lost in the woods
Me at work in a meeting when someone mentions something topical from the news, forgetting for a moment that I'm not in a safe place with other like-minded champions of the zeitgeist with valorous souls: "hah, more like deadbert"
Skaven Clan Gnaw engineers
I'm filled with joy for these skaven, enormous success.
This is, well, something I did.
I'm not exactly happy with the end result. But it was for a group project and I don't have time to go back and redo it the way I really wanted to. Might print another one at some point and go from there.
I'm also just in a bad headspace and was trying to work through it with this project, and I felt like I struggled all the way through. Ultimately, it didn't really help, and I find myself upset for not giving my best on it.
This is such a great idea, you're very clever!
Plip plop, drip drop
It's desperately important that you create art, because as everything floods with the inevitable gray, the part of you that knows how to love will shrink without a need for it; but when you sing or paint or kiss you have no choice but to stumble over beauty and empathy. It drags you by the throat towards the best kind of purpose. Art will save your life.
Zealot.
Really getting into human skin lately.
