I think we should start calling cigarettes/vapes binkies. Smokers are always saying it "calms their nerves" and they can throw some thermonuclear tantrums when they have to put their binky away.

#tremmy shut up #i had a horrible asthma attack today bc like 7 smokers decided to indulge while in the crowd of people waiting for the bus #i put on my n99 mask and moved away but i got followed by the pacers and it wasnt enough #my chest still hurts several hours later #also wasted my inhaler bc of these pricks #really wish people would use their binkies at home and spare the ~8% of the population that has asthma attacks and medical bills #thats 2 people in a crowd of 25 btw #9 to 11 people die PER DAY bc of asthma #and smoking/vaping is a pretty universal trigger #i guarantee people have died from smokers causing attacks #im so tired of risking my life or medical bills every time i leave the house

How do I explain to you people that interracial relationships are okay

Not every white person dating a POC is fetishizing. White people can be respectful and responsible when it comes to culture and relationships and not everyone has bad intentions.

Asian people can date Black people without you saying shit like “your kids will be so pretty” they’re not dating for pretty kids. They’re dating bc they like each other.

Someone can dress their partner in clothing from their culture if they want. Someone can take their partner to cultural events if they want.

People in relationships can share cultures, experiences and love without it being toxic or skin deep.

Their partner isn’t culturally appropriating. Their partner is being shown the ultimate form of love, bc their partner trusts them and loves them enough to share their history and heritage.

Yeah, dating someone from your culture is nice bc you automatically have similar experiences. But you’re not limited to dating people with the same experiences. Loving someone is sharing and growing and being together.

Interracial relationships aren’t always toxic, and some of y’all need to stop projecting onto other people.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

Taylor Farms Earthbound Farms Little Salad Bar (Aldi) Marketside (Walmart) Kroger House Brand Target private label greens Costco salads and greens etc Trader Joe's chopped salad kits and fresh produce Fast food: McDonalds, Taco Bell, (Yum! Brands), Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Olive Garden, Top Golf, Red Lobster, Burger King, etc.

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.

#never been happy about my OCD making me avoid common outbreak foods (like lettuce) but i sure am now #i wont touch salad mixes with a 10 foot pole and just generally avoid lettuce during this CDC defunding #really reccomend sticking to greens other than lettuce until theres a change in administration #bc this is just gunna keep happening

Just remembered how, as a kid, I often used to think that being deaf would be pretty cool bc I wouldn't have to constantly hear horrible, overwhelming noises.

I specifically remember considering if I could live without music and being real excited when I learned about deaf musicians.

There were no signs.
