SAN FRANCISCO, Ca (AP). The streets of San Francisco are pouring over with divergents... literally.

Organized by a small group of activists, a rally broke out on the street three days ago, starting with just a few members and growing into a crowd of hundreds. For the past few days, the group has been organizing peaceful chants, speeches, and even displays of powers. Each night, police have asked the group to clear the streets, but most of them returned today.

The crowd is not only filled with those affected by the radiation; unaffected supporters have joined in, making the congregation a mixture of a pride rally and a protest.

"Divergents deserve to be treated just like everyone else," said Lupita Hernandez, an unaffected citizen. "My brother was killed the day of the earthquake... I wish that he'd just been affected like the divergents, you know? We should be embracing the survivors, not judging them."

However, not everyone is supportive.

"It's just disruptive," said Kelly Carrington, a long-time resident. "People can barely drive through there and there's no peace and quiet anymore."

Law enforcement presence is subdued, but heavy. For the most part, things are peaceful, but six incidents of violent arrests have been reported.

"As of right now, nothing being done is illegal," said Officer Andrew Briggs. "The right to convene is an American right, and we can't do anything but keep the peace."

Sources say that the original organizers intended for the rally to last a week.

So this is a spirits personified and you're going by media... Would it be at all possible to do a song personification? I know it's not exactly personifying a character like it would be if you were doing a movie or a tv show etc... But that would be pretty cool?

This is an awesome question! Meredith and I had to talk about it, so sorry for the delay, but we determined that the short answer is yes.

We just ask that the song have a clear description of character in it. Like "Oh No!" by Marina and the Diamonds, for example, clearly describes a character. That type of thing would be perfectly fine.

If you have any ideas and aren't sure if they'd work, feel free to ask.

It would! In fact, we have a subplot about it.

I was just wondering is there much explanation needed for the powers the characters have in the application?

You don’t need to go into a ton of detail, no.  A general overview should be enough, but if your character’s powers have certain limitations or affect them a certain way, that’s something you’ll want to include.  Say your character’s a psychic but can only “see” in dreams, or if they’re touching another person.  That’s the sort of thing you’ll want to explain further.  Other than that, you don’t need to explain a ton!

The 122x175 image for our apps: does that need to be of the character spirit or of the face claim? Does it need to be a gif or just another image?

Your face claim! Though, you can use an image of your spirit for the last one, if you’d like. It’s up to you. As for whether it’s a gif or an image, that’s also up to you.

Are divergents the only group that can have powers? You can't have a character with a power that is in a different group? Like a law enforcement member that secretly has powers or something?

You can! “Divergent” is the word used to describe characters who developed powers when they came in contact with the radiation, instead of suffering from poisoning. “Prototypicals” are characters who did not come in contact with the radiation or got normal radiation poisoning from it. The law enforcement group will be made up of both of those types of characters, I’m sure, and B.G.C might even have a couple secretly divergent characters in their midst.

For example, I (Sam) have a Steve Rogers who has a power like the super serum and he’s in law enforcement. His group will be “law enforcement,” but he’s also divergent. Meredith has a Jim Kirk who is a cop, but he won’t have powers because Kirk doesn’t; that makes him prototypical.
