This is kind of in response to some other posts I've seen lately, but people on this hellsite need to learn that two wrongs don't make a right.

It's real unfortunate that gay people were dehumanized for so long (and the word queer was part of this dehumanization in anglophone countries so I don't like how it's been reclaimed but I digress), and to this day there are many countries where LGBT people are discriminated against and made illegal. This doesn't make it ok to degrade someone for being straight, or ostracize straight people the moment you have an area of control. If you hate someone for their sexual orientation, even if there's no systematic oppression against them because of it, you're just a jerk.

The way black people were treated in the past was horrific, and to this day people of colour face discrimination in white-majority countries. This does not defend it when you turn around and hate on white people. When you wax on about how you hate white people, you want to commit violence against white people, or you just think white people are inherently evil, you're just admitting that you judge people for the colour of their skin and not the content of their character.
