February Writing Challenge - Day 13: Unrequited Love
Here is another short one for you guys. Rating: K+ Fandom: Fairy Tail Ship: Natsu X Lucy ( Lisanna is the rejected) Warnings: none apply Disclaimer: I own nothing. Here we go~ Sometimes I wish life was like it is in stories. Stories about love that is. Successful and happy love. If life was like that, then nobody would ever be lonely or abandoned. Everyone would be loved. But life isn’t like that. It’s cruel and unkind. It abandons and leaves people lonely. That’s how it left me today. Wishing I could be my favorite character in my favorite story instead of this broken sobbing mess lying locked away in my bedroom. My name is Lisanna Strauss. I’m in love with Natsu Dragneel, and I just watched him confess to Lucy. ~ Thanks for reading. Cinnamon~
February Writing Challenge - Day 12: Conjugal Love (related to marriage)
I give up doing this challenge on time. I just started hell week for the production I'm in and I wont have any time so I'll finish it at my own pace, extremely late, for which I am sorry. Rating: K+ Fandom: Fairy Tail Ship: Gray x Juvia Warning: none apply other than the fact that it's really short and crappy. Disclaimer: I own nothing. Here we go~ Juvia never thought this day would happen. Sure she had planned the whole scenario in her head, ever since she had fallen for Gray she’d imagined it. But she never expected him to fall in love with her. Especially after being a complete stalker about it for the first half of her time in fairy tail. Also, she’d never expected him to marry her. Juvia peered up at her husband from where her head rested on his lap, relaxing at the feel of his fingers running through her hair. Yes, Juvia had always imagined a simple romantic night like this with him. It was one of her simpler ones, but her favorite. Gray met her eyes and smiled. “Watcha thinking about?” he asked softly. Juvia smiled. “You.” she said simply. Gray nodded his head in response. “ I love you, Gray-sama.” she said before focusing her attention back to the movie. “I love you too, Juvia.” ~ See? Short. I'm very sorry. ~Cinnamon
February Writing Challenge - Day 11: Reincarnation!AU
I know it’s late, everything will be for a while. I’ll have more time to write when I reach midwinter break on Friday~ So I hope to catch up then. I think that I’ll try to write all 28 days before the end of the month and try to post them before the end of the month, but i can’t guarantee, obviously, that they’ll be on the correct days. Anyway, I began the story with a little gender bending! I’ve never done that before so I hope you like it!

~Before~
“Levi! Levi where are you! I really could use your help right now!” A rough voice bellowed as a woman shot Iron slivers into a crowd of enemies. Some went down, but more just kept emerging. The iron dragon slayer growled as she felt her being surrounded by troops.
“Gabbie! I’m coming!” She heard a voice call from the distance. She turned around to see a blue haired male speeding towards her, several men chasing behind him. Levi ran straight into Gabbie, knocking the pair down.
“Solid script: bomb!” Levi called, a big explosion quickly following.
“Levi! We have to get out of here!” Gabbie called, her back pressed up against Levi’s as they slowly circled, completely surrounded by the enemy guild. Gabbie could see the smirks on their faces, and it was really pissing her off. She was about to build up the magic for a big attack when Levi grunted behind her.
“G-gabbie…” He stuttered before falling to his knees. Gabbie quickly turned and caught him, setting his head in her lap. She instantly saw the growing spot of read on his stomach. There was a shred of wood protruding from the spot, obviously the cause.
“L-levi, hold on, I’m going to take this out and we’re going to get you help okay?” Gabbie tried to be strong as she watched her closest friend bat her hand away from the stick.
“If you pull it out, the bleeding won't be hindered. Be sure.” He grasped her hand in his, wincing at the pain. Levi knew that he wasn’t going to make it. They were surrounded and too far away from help.
“I can stop the bleeding, let me help you, Levi!” Gabbie cried, pulling her hand away and gripping the stick.
“You know there is no way to help me out here, Gabbie! You have t-” he cut himself off, not wanting to say it out loud. Gabbie got the gist. She grabbed his hand.
“Pull it out, but don’t try to stop the bleeding. There is nothing you can do.” Levi said softly, putting a blood y hand up to her cheek. She nodded, tears gathering in her eyes. Gabbie was a strong person and never cried, but this time she couldn’t stop. She gripped the stick and looked Levi in the the eye. He nodded an okay. Gabbie leaned in and kissed him fiercely as she ripped out the stick. Levi grunted and winced, but didn’t break the kiss. Gabbie pulled away and rested her forehead against Levi’s.
“I love you, Gabbie. Know that. “ Levi said. He smiled at her one more time, before his body relaxed in her arms. His eyes closed and his grip on her hand loosed. Gabbie knew he was gone.
Gabbie’s tears flew freely now, the iron dragon slayer felt anger growing in the pit of her stomach.
“I love you too, Levi you stupid bastard.” She whispered. She kissed his forehead before gently setting his body down and standing up. There was silence and no one could see Gabbie’s face. The silence was cut by a grief filled scream and Gabbie whirling around, her body completely iron, scales decorating her face and her arm an iron rod. She then charged into the thickest crowd, plowing over as many as she could, fighting and fighting. There were too many and Gabbie knew it, but she had to try.
After a while she was finally overwhelmed.
~Now~
“Gajeel! Come here!” Levy called from across the library. Gajeel poked his head from around the corner, slightly annoyed when a book fell on top of his head. He made his way over to the smaller mage to see what she was calling him for.
“What’s up shrimp?” he asked setting his chin on top of her head to see the book in her hand.
“Look at this! We used to have mages in our guild named Levi McGarden and Gabbie Redfox! It says here that they were best friends!” Levi pointed to a picture of two people, one was a short girl with piercings similar to Gajeel’s and jet black hair. There was a boy behind her that looked like a human noodle, with bright blue hair tied back in a headband. He was grinning at the obviously annoyed mage, whose hair was being ruffled by the boy.
“That’s Levi, and that’s Gabbie.” Levy said pointing to each. She looked up to see Gajeel studying the picture intently.
“Why do they look so much like us?” He asked, scratching his chin. Levy laughed.
“I think you mean why do we look so much like them. I don’t know. Maybe we’re their reincarnations or something.” Levy said with a shrug. Gajeel shrugged back.
“Anyway, that’s not what we’re looking for. Have you found that cookbook yet?”

Fandom: Soul Eater
Ship: Soul X Maka
Warnings: strong language and suggested sexual themes
Disclaimer: I do not own anything.
Here we go~
Sometimes it was perfect.
There were days when Soul and I would come back from a job, feeling successful and energized from the effects of the adrenaline high. Those nights where passionate. The days leading up to the next job, we were in sync, like a person and it reflection in the mirror. Those were what I always longed for, and I suppose he longed for them too.
Sometimes, it was complete and utter chaos.
There were days we would come home from a job, exhausted, tired, beat up, and at each other’s throats. We would snipe at each other as we patched each other up, and then ignore each other. Then the fights come. Non stop screaming at each other until someone leaves. Most of the time, it’s Soul who leaves, finally tired of yelling at me and me yelling back just as fiercely, blaming one another for both of our screw ups. That’s when who ever is left inside of our apartment realizes they fucked things up. I don’t know what Soul does when I leave, but when it’s him that’s gone, I shut down.
Most times, I huff off to my room and tear it up, pulling apart my bed, my closet, our memories. I never destroy any of them, just toss them around because I know deep down he’ll have to come back.
And he always does. After a few days of either crashing at Kid’s or Black star’s, he comes back, looking more tired and broken than he did before. We stand awkwardly before one or both of us apologizes, and someone always cries. Then we fall into our normal routine of training and teaching and working before finding our next kishen.
This time is different. This time, I don’t think he’s coming back.
~Earlier~
“Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you, Soul!” I chided, pushing away from the kitchen counter where we had just finished bandaging our wounds. He huffed in response, but didn’t turn around. This made me angrier.
“Soul Evans, I am talking to you!”
“What Maka?” He snapped turning around to face me. His face looked bored, but his tone and eyes were angry. He was trying to keep his cool.
“We need to talk about what happened back there.” I said, trying to do the same.
“No we don’t.” He snapped.
“Yes we do.”
“We screwed up Maka, there isn’t anything else to it.”
“We did more than screw up, Soul! It nearly cost us our lives!”
“When doesn’t it?”
I huffed. “All the time, but not like this! You went off on your own! You tried to take him out yourself! That’s not how this works and you know it!”
“It can work anyway I want it to.” He said flippantly. I was taken aback.
“That’s selfish Soul, we’re a team, we work together.”
“No we aren’t and we don’t.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“All we do after a job is fight or fuck! You and I can’t do this on and off switch that our relationship is! It affects everyone around us, not just ourselves!”
I was silent for a moment. My anger was dissipating because I knew that he was right. I hooded my eyes with my bangs.
“So what are you saying, Soul?”
“I think we need to stop. I think we depend on each other too much.”
“We’re partners. We’re lovers. We’re best friends! Of course we depend on each other! That’s the point!” I had a feeling I knew where Soul was going with this and I didn’t like it at all.
“You’re not getting my point Maka!”
“You have yet to make it clear to me then.”
Soul then went quiet. I could see the conflict in his eyes as he chose his next words carefully, but I didn’t care.
“You want to break up.” His eyes widened at my accusation, panic evident in his features.
“No Maka, I-”
“You’ve considered it. I know you have.” I interrupted. “This isn’t working like we thought it would. Like you said, all we do is fight or fuck. That’s not a relationship and we both know it. So either we keep skirting around the fact that both of us are too scared to say it by fighting about it or we discuss it like the mature adults we’re supposed to be.”
Soul stared at me, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water, wanting to fight back and protest, but he knew I was right. He stopped and sighed, closing his eyes. When he opened them and looked at me, his expression was hard and cold, like he’d made up his mind about something that I was not yet privy to.
“Fine.” He said gruffly. He spun on his heel and walked into our bedroom. I quickly walked after him, watching as he grabbed his old backpack and started flinging open drawers and cabinets, stuffing clothes and other essentials into it.
“Soul, what are you doing?” I asked, feeling the pit in my stomach that had been steadily growing throughout this whole ordeal get bigger with each of his steps.
“Packing.” he said simply.
“Why?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” He turned and looked at me from his place in front of the dresser where he was stuffing his socks into his bag. “ I’m leaving.”
“Where are you going?” I ventured. He never packed when he left before, Black Star and kid always had everything he needed.
“I don’t know, but I’m not going to stay here any longer. I’ll probably leave Death City as well.” He said as he zipped up his bag, slung it over his shoulder and looked back at me. “Since we’re handling this like adults now-”
“This is not what I meant and you know it.”
“We’re done.” he finished. I didn’t move. My brain went blank as I stared at him. He brushed past me, and I don’t know how but I followed him to the door. My head was screaming at me, telling me to stop him, not let him go, and make him talk to you like a human being, but I said nothing. He reached the door and put his hand on the knob. He turned to me one last time. I said nothing, but tried to let my eyes convey what I couldn’t say out of fear of breaking down. He bent down and kissed me passionately, but before I could pull him to me he had broken the kiss.
“I love you, Maka Albarn, don’t forget that.” He said softly before disappearing out the door. I stood there shocked. I stared down the closed door in front of me as I assessed the situation. After a moment, I fell to my knees, hot tears cascading down my face and onto my knees as I cried silently, which eventually turned into big audible sobs complete with hiccups.

“Kagome! Hurry up! We don’t want to miss it!” Sango rushed, running in front of Kagome with amazing speed despite the traditional outfit she was wearing for the festival.
“I’m coming Sango, hold on!” Returned Kagome, having a little trouble with the outfit as they ran through the isles of the bright festival.
When Kagome had heard the dates of that years summer festival, she had to go. Her first thought was that Sango would enjoy it, see that she had never been to Kagome’s side of the well.
Sango stopped at the edge of the waterfront in front, gazing up at the sky with wonder. Kagome was there only seconds after, a quiet hush falling over the crowd around them as they waited in anticipation for the biggest event of the night.
The fireworks show.
There was a loud book and a whistle, then a bright array of colours danced across the sky, crackling and popping before disappearing. The crowd cheered as another firework followed the first, and so on, brightening the sky.
Kagome looked over at Songo, observing the happy sparkle in her eyes and how her face lit up at each display. Kagome smiled.
“Haven’t you seen fireworks before?” Kagome asked nudging the young demon slayer beside her.
“Yes, but not for a very long time. I forgot how beautiful they were,” Sango answered, still entranced. She turned to Kagome.
“Thank you for taking me to the festival tonight, Kagome. I really appreciate it.”
“You’re welcome, Sango.”
The pair watched the fireworks until the end of the show, and treasure the memory for the rest of their lives.

“What do you want, Viktor?” Yuuri whined , walking into the doorway and leaning against the jam. He looked exhausted.
“Cuddles.” Viktor said simply, reaching for Yuuri. Yuuri sighed and walked over the couch where Viktor was sprawled. Viktor took his hand and pulled him down, effectively trapping him. They were in this position for less than a minute, shifting around to get comfortable, before they heard the familiar click of Makkachin barreling through the house.
He arrived in the living room and instantly jumped up onto the couch, squishing the pair of ice skaters underneath his weight. Viktor and Yuuri giggled before getting comfortable again to cuddle together with Makkachin fast asleep on top of them.

February Writing Challenge - Day 7: Storge (Familial Love)
Day 7 is here. This prompt kind of confused me, so I just kind of went with it. It's supposed to be a family sort of relationship, but I'm not quite sure I reached it. I instantly saw Kid’s face pale. “It’s so…” he restrained, his eye twitching in his effort. “Unsymmetrical, I know, but that’s why you're here.” I smiled at him as I walked past. ~several hours later~ “How in the name of Shinigami did we acquire so much crap?” I asked after unloading what seemed like the millionth box out of the unit and onto the ground to catalogue its contents. I sat down on Kid’s sweatshirt and popped open the box. I was surprised when I was met with stacks upon stacks of old photos and photo albums. “Hey Kid, Patty, come look at this!” I called as I began to shuffle through the box. I heard footsteps incoming behind me when I found a picture of Lord Death holding a baby Kid, joy lit up in Kid’s features, and evident in how Lord Death was holding him (since you couldn’t see his face. “Aw Kid you were so cute! I cooed, holding up the picture for Patty to see. “She’s right Kid!” She exclaimed, passing on the picture to its subject. He instantly blushed. I moved on to the next photo. This went on for several hours, the three of us finding pictures of each other, laughing and blushing and chasing each other for certain embarrassing photos. “Erza! I know that you don’t want to go to the gathering but we have no choice! Do you want to start another mini war with our neighboring guild? They’re expecting you and don’t want to be disappointed!”
Erza sighed. Why she had volunteered for this mission was beyond her at this point.
‘you know why you signed up. There was rumors that Jellal would show up. Now just because he hasn’t shown up the first hundred parties doesn’t mean he won’t tonight. Now appease the crowd.’ Erza thought to herself.
“Fine,” she sighed, dejected. “let me get ready.”
The steward visibly relaxed, breathing out a thank you before exiting the room.
~time skip~
Erza was quite done. She was tired of the men in the room trying to get her attention and impress her all at once. Why had she volunteered to be a princess in a medieval guild again? Oh yeah, Jellal.
“Excuse me, ma’am. There is a gentleman that wishes to speak to you.” A voice cut in. It was the steward from before.
“Everyone here does. I don’t care. He can wait.”
“He said his name was Jellal.”
Erza’s eyes widened. She turned to him. “Take me to him immediately.”
The steward nodded, intimidated by her tone. He led her to the edge of the room where there was less people. He pointed to man with blue hair, then scurried away. Erza hesitantly walked up to him, her breath getting faster with each step. She reached the distance to where she could tap his shoulder for his attention and stopped. She tried to compose herself, reaching up go tap him, but he turned around before she could. She froze. It was actually him. Before the redhead could do anything she was wrapped tightly in his arms. She didn’t hesitate to return the hug.
“Jellal, where have you been?” Erza whispered. “You don’t have to hide anymore,”
“I know. I wanted to find you. But I couldn’t bring myself to do it until now.” Erza just held him tighter at his response. After staying like that for a minute or so, Jellal pulled away, but never fully let go of her.
“May I have this dance?” He asked sweetly, holding out his hand. Erza smiled brightly before nodding vigorously.

“Natsu! What are you doing?!” Lucy exclaimed, clinging her towel to her body as she watched the dragon slayer jump up from the couch excitedly.
“Lucy! You’re finally out! Hurry up and get dressed, we need to hurry!” Ordered Natsu optimistically. Lucy stared at him, unimpressed.
“Where, may I ask, are we going?” Lucy asked, annoyance lacing her tone as she crossed her arms across her chest.
“It’s a surprise, but a fun surprise. The everyone is meeting us there, c’mon!” Natsu rushed as he turned her around and pushed her towards her closet.
“Alright, alright, I’m going Natsu! Geez!” She shrugged off the dragon slayer before grabbing an outfit. She didn’t feel like arguing with the excited adult-child in her room, so she headed into the bathroom to change. Once she was out, Lucy packed her bag and turned to Natsu, who already had the door open, waiting for her with Happy.
“C’mon Lucy!” He called from the doorway before disappearing.
“I’m coming! Wait up!” She called, running after him after locking up her apartment. Natsu was at the bottom of the stairs. He quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her out onto the street, rushing around the daily bustle.
“Natsu, be careful!” Lucy yelled as they ran. She freed her hand in favor of running alongside the dragon slayer, just like they had when they first met. Soon enough, they arrived at an opening to a normally empty field beside town, but today it was filled with a large tent and rides that had appeared overnight. Lucy gasped.
“A fair?”
“Yeah! Everyone is waiting, hurry up!” began to run again, and this time Lucy had no objection as she ran alongside him, filling with excitement as she went.
As the pair got closer to the entrance they saw Erza, Gray, Juvia, Levy, Gajeel, Charla and Wendy waiting for them. Once they were spotted, both parties started waving at each other excitedly.
“Took you long enough! We’ve been out here for a good hour waiting on your ass!” Snapped Gray at Natsu. Natsu instantly went into a fighting stance.
“You wanna say that again, Ice Princess?” Natsu snapped back. Before the two could start anything though, Erza stepped in.
“You wanna try that greeting again, boys?” Erza said sweetly, venom lacing her tone, letting off the “if you fuck up, I will fuck you up’ vibe as she stood between the two.
“Nice to see you Natsu…” Gray strained.
“You too Gray…” Natsu replied, his tone strained just as equally.
“Great let’s go inside! I’ve already gotten our tickets!” Levy claimed as she handed out the strips of wrist bands. “Now, stay together in nothing smaller than groups of two. I don’t want to hit master with another fair bill. We don’t get to go to these often. Now let’s go!” The group bustled excitedly as everyone went off their own ways, Natsu instantly taking Lucy’s hand and pulling her towards the food court.
After riding a few rides then eating, per Lucy’s insistence, Natsu and Lucy explored the stalls as the sun started to gradually set and the summer air started to cool slightly. Together they explored the items available, admiring art and laughing at little goofy trinkets until they came upon a small tent with a sign that read:
‘Get your fortune read! Prices vary!”
“Hey Lucy, wanna get your your fortune read for kicks?” He joked, pointing at the sign. Lucy contemplated for a moment before nodding.
“Yeah sure. Why not.” She said. Natsu looked at her confused.
“Wait, what?” Natsu asked.
“Sure. Let’s do it. I wanna see my future,” joked Lucy as she made her way to the entrance. Natsu shrugged and followed her inside. They were met with the faint smell of incense as they both eyed the dimly lit room before them. The walls were lined with scarves and other trinkets. There was a small desk that it’s presumable purpose was to hold the cash box and where clients booked their appointments.
In the center there was a table, and sat at it was a woman with long earrings and beautiful silk clothes. She was reading a book. The woman looked up from her page and made eye contact with Lucy.
“Hello dear! Would you like your fortune read today along with this fine gentleman beside you?” Asked the woman as she bookmarked her place and set the book down. She walked over to the desk up front to greet Lucy and Natsu.
“Yes actually. Nothing to extravagant, just a palm reading or something.” Lucy relied politely.
“Of course dear! How about your friend here?”
“Same with me. Just something simple.” Natsu replied. Lucy gave him a look, wondering why he hadn’t gone for the biggest possible service. She shrugged.
“That will be 50 jewels from both of you.” The woman said. “My name is Madame Seraphine. Please come with me, Ms…”
“Lucy is fine.” Lucy blurted. “This is Natsu.”
Seraphine nodded before leading the two back to the table.
“We shall start with you.” Seraphine motioned for Lucy’s hand, which she layed back down on the table. Seraphine gently took her hand, observing it’s creases and curves carefully before pointing to the one closest to her thumb.
“This crease here is your Life line. Yours is long and strongly defined, meaning you will have many strong and beneficial relationships that will never break.” Seraphine stopped for a moment before pointing to the crease next to it. “This is your fate line. Yours is shallow, meaning you will go through many hard times, but it is long, reaching all the way up your hand, meaning you will live many years. The next line is your heart line. It’s this one that curves from below your pinky and curves all the way to between you middle and pointer fingers. Yours is strong with no breaks, meaning that you will be with your true love. And It’ll be the truest. If you find someone with that identical mark, their your soulmate!”
Lucy looked at her palm, shocked. How could her palm hold so much information? Should she believe it? She looked over to where Seraphine had began to read natsu’s palm.
“Your life line is strong as well, meaning many strong friendships. Your fate line is more shallow than Lucy’s here, meaning you’ve gone through and will go through much more, but you will still persevere and live a very long life. Your heart line is-” Seraphine stopped short, looking up at Natsu ins shock. “It’s identical to Lucy’s!”
Lucy’s eyes widened as did Natsu’s. They took their palms and compared, finding that she was, in fact, correct.
“But doesn’t that mean…”
“Yes! You two are soulmates!” Seraphine smiled brightly, clapping her hands together in excitement. “This is a wondrous day! I’ve never read two soulmates together before!”
After watching her fangirl for a couple minutes, and being shooed out of the tent, insisting their session was free for their great discovery, Natsu and Lucy now stood outside of the tent in shock.
Lucy looked over at Natsu to see him scratching at the back of his head nervously, a faint blush gracing his cheeks.
“Lucy, I’ve been meaning to tell you something for a while…” he began, only to be interrupted by a blue ball of fluff knocking him down.
“Natsu! Lucy! We’ve been looking for you everywhere! It’s almost dark!” Happy exclaimed.
“Happy?” Natsu sputtered, pulling the exceed off of his head, setting him on his lap as he sat up. He made eye contact with Lucy, his eyes seeming to say ‘I’ll tell you later’. Lucy understood and nodded. As the rest of their friends gathered around them, Lucy wondered to herself.
‘What is he going to tell me?’

February Writing Challenge - Day 4 Prompt - Lovestruck
Day four of the challenge, a day late. I’m sorry, I’m not even going to make excuses at this point, but today’s will not be late (hopefully) and it’ll be paired with this one. I’ve done a lot of firsts for this challenge. This is my first Yurio X Otabek fanfic, and I don’t even think this one counts as complete, but you know what, I’ll add to it later if I must. This was just what Yurio needed. Yurio rolled his eyes as he ran faster down the street, giving his all to not be caught by the storm of fangirls gaining on him, begging for pictures and autographs, fawning over his very existence.
Soon, Yurio spotted an alleyway that seemed safe. He had a block lead on the fangirls, which would be enough to try and hide. He ducked into the alley and into a doorway, his back hugging the corner in attempt to hide. He heard the fangirls getting closer and closer. He was sure that he was going to be stuck here taking pictures for the rest of his life until the roar of a motorcycle interrupted his thoughts. He opened his eyes and looked up to see a figure in front of him.
The figure was dressed in dark clothes, his eyes covered by dark sunglasses and his head protected by a helmet. The figure whipped off his glasses and made eye contact with Yurio. Yurio froze, feeling his chest tighten and twang, and his heart beat faster as it had been moments earlier. Yurio was instantly confused at his body’s physical reaction as he stared at Otabek Altin directly in the eye. He gulped.
