I don’t have a big enough brain to understand the complex ideas Brennan has injected into Neverafter, but I’m really having a big think about the Arthurs. The only thing we really know is that they have control of the Ink to create these stories and that they don’t seem to care about their characters.

I wonder if that’s true?

I feel like most authors actually really love their characters. It’s the readers that demand that those characters go through trials and tribulations for our enjoyment.

right after Dororo volunteered to be a guide so that Hyakkimaru could defeat the enemy by following Dororo’s voice, he got knocked out.

and Hyakkimaru evidently got seized with panic.

as (indirectly) explained by Saru, he was calling out for Dororo. since Hyakkimaru had only recently got his voice back, and therefore, like a baby, can’t form a lot of words, he could only scream until he is heard by Dororo.

it must have been a bit traumatic for him to not be able to properly call Dororo in the face of danger, and I guess that pushed him to learn how to say Dororo’s name.

Okay, so when that new trailer hit

I was like shit.

Literally, at the end of Antman and the Wasp, me and my friend (we were both studying physics at the time) ended up ranting at how Scott was technically in superposition because there were no outside witnesses.

Scott basically became the half dead cat, where he was both gone and not. This is possible with the outcome on the outside; he is also the person out of the box, where people are half gone and not. It’s only when he becomes big again that he knows the truth.

So the question is how he got out?

Could there be an alternate universe version of all the people gone? Perhaps time warps differently in the quantum realm (oh it definitely does).

Physicists, let’s discuss.

Of course things change since Scott actually experiences the quantum realm as a being but esentially he’s a particle?

Also, Spidey himself acknowledges the laws of physics being broken in the universe so perhaps this isn’t a big deal but seeing Scott at the end of the trailer is so validating to me as a student.

Another theory we had was that he’d be stuck there until Hope could get him out and I’m so glad that didn’t happen.

Interesting fact these two are playing but they are using play behaviors of their own species so they dont really “match up”!

Dog - is “bowing” and using open mouth “bites” as forms of play

“Play fight with me!”

Cat - is giving the little paw bats they use when playing with kittens

“Cute kittens get booped!”

They are both trying to engage the other in a playful way but not understanding the others responce.

The dog is like “you smack so no play? but not hard smack and no bad noise so not angry?”

The cat is like “why you jump around? open mouth but no chomp? no hiss so is okay?”

And then they sort of settle with a kind of communal grooming gesture they both understand!

Dog: no play? okay i lay… we calm now friend!

Cat: sad? no play? is ok i luv u weird kitten!
