Hey could you please explain the difference between first, second, and third degree murder? Thanks

First degree murder is killing with intent and also therefore premeditated murder. Second degree murder is killing but with the intent to harm and not kill. For example, shooting somebody in the arm and as a result they bleed to death. Third degree is killing as a result of negligence. For example, drunk driving, or child neglect.
