Megumi couldn’t do much but accomplice, as Asunaro wasn’t only threatening her career but also putting many at risk if the police force showed any resistance. She never signed up to be a pawn for a shady organization, and yet here she stood . . . 

    ❝I’m glad you feel so comfortable in this uniform, officer Hiyori,❞ the tone of her voice was nothing but sarcastic, and while she knew full well that resistance wasn’t the wisest choice, but with the amount of grudge she felt for him it was hard to hold back.
