bianca got soooo much hate after showing up in inquisition. saying shes not good enough for varric. as if him naming his crossbow after his married gf and acting like its his wife and staying apart so nobody could ever replicate the weapon she made bc its too dangerous isn't an objectively sexy thing to do. ppl out here claim to be yearners hating on the real yearner varric tethras. also as if memorializing his past in the most dramatic way possible isnt the most varric tethras possible thing to do. come on.

One thing about Heinrix, the dude does not refer himself with his first name when he gets hurt.

"Focus, van Calox, focus."

And I think apart from referring someone with their last name is more professional, his last name is more connected to the person he shapes himself to be for his duty. His last name was given to him by the people who trained him. His last name replaced the family name who's gotten torn apart from him.

Heinrix? That's too intimate for someone who's actively trying to curb his humanity. For someone who has to think about what his favorite color is. That's his given name, the one his sisters called him. That name has emotional weight behind it.
