Kyo is the problem child, literally. A bastard, only half related to his many cousins, Kyo was treated as the black sheep of the family. The one who never quite fit in. The Sohma Clan heavily mistreats children who do not fit into the carefully constructed bubble... and Kyo was on the receiving end of the brunt of it. Trinity was supposed to be a place he could clear his head away from his family. At least, an attempt at getting away from his family. It took him a while to convince Akira to let him go, explaining why he is only a sophomore at 21.

Kyo is kept as away from the limelight as possible because of his anger issues resulting from his mistreatment growing up. annie grew up in a very broken and violent home. until she was about six years old she lived with her father , mother and older brother in london. back then every day felt like the worst of her life. her father was a violent man filled with rage , making the children watch as he beat their mother. annie’s life really wasn’t fun at all.

after another terrible , brutal event she was put into foster care and ultimately adopted by a very loving and kind family , giving annie the life she never dreamed she could have. now living on the countryside and very much enjoying her life , there was still a dark shadow seemingly looming over her at all times. annie was about 12 years old when she was diagnosed with a chronic complex post traumatic stress disorder. her adoptive parents had always wondered why certain things like smells , sights , tones in their voices had driven the young girl into total shutdown and finally there was an answer to not only their , but annie’s questions as well.

ever since then annie has been in therapy , taking anti anxiety medication and learning to deal with her past. there is a certain sadness to her that even her gentle , loving nature cannot hide. if you look closely , you can see it lingering in her eyes.

nowadays annie is majoring in marine biology , the ocean had always fascinated her and she recalls the happiest days of her life being the ones her adoptive parents had taken her to the seaside. she longs to move close to the ocean as soon as she graduated , longs to escape the city where it all started and where she only went back to because she didn’t get accept at the other universities she applied for.

the reason why annie was put into foster care wasn’t because her father was abusive as many people may assume. when annie was six years old , in a fit of blind rage , her father actually murdered her mother and brother – and annie had to watch. If one of the neighbours hadn’t called the police when they did , she would likely have ended up dead as well. to this day annie has never talked to anyone but a diverse array of health professionals about this part of her childhood. she’s ashamed and scared of what people may think of her , being the child of a murderer and all. lucky for her it is impossible to connect her to her father for back then her name had not been annie cresta.

but that wasn’t them. it never had been. from the day they could form a coherent thought life felt wrong. it wasn’t until starting boarding school that things took a turn, meeting the people that proved to be the best friends sirius would ever have. james potter in particular became like a brother and even when their relationship with their family crumbled, it still felt like they had family.

**character biography**: [ tw; drugs, dysphoria, abuse ] for as long as eddie can remember, he’s always gone against what was expected of him. from fighting against his parents when they insisted on dresses and the name edie, to fighting back against the abuse they tossed his way as he grew. when he was eleven he turned up with a buzzcut and bruises to his uncle wayne’s when his dad had gone back to jail, his mother no where to be found. he’d wept, poured his soul out to the man and it was as simple as saying his name was eddie for the stern but caring man to take it as fact. he took him in, got custody, and for the first time in his life eddie was allowed to know what happiness meant.

hawkins was a small town though. full of prejudice and bullies. while he was loud and bizarre, he never dared to let anyone close enough to know the secrets he held. he found a deep love of metal music and dungeons & dragons that had him blossoming into the protector of a group of misfits which gave him strength and purpose.

despite failing grades at school multiple times he finally managed to make it out, and eddie got a modest job as a mechanic. however… old habits die hard. he also kept the two jobs he was known for in high school. his love of music and performing with his band, and dealing drugs. for the most part he stopped with the harder stuff and stuck mostly to just weed in the hopes of not getting caught up in too much trouble while he was doing fairly well at his other job.

things went well for a few years, until his own dealer & supplier introduced him to another dealer. a sharp-tongued man from a few states away that captivated eddie immediately. the two began a relationship that went from intense and romantic to abusive very quick. the signs were obvious and wayne and the few that knew of his relationship pleaded with him multiple times to leave the unpredictable man he’d gotten serious with. he ignored them, though, until he found out he was expecting his daughter.

upon the discovery he told his uncle and they mulled over their options. as fate would have it, a few days into their deliberations wayne was offered a job in london. it was a move than they’d ever expected but as fast as they could manage, they got packed up and left town.

eddie had his beautiful little girl penelope violet and the last two years.. things have gone good. their apartment is small but full of love with penny keeping wayne and eddie on their toes. but.. there’s drawbacks. he keeps his socials locked down which has stifled the solo music career he’s still pursuing down a lot and he does his best to still keep afloat with just the mechanic job to help out. it’s the first time in his life he hasn’t had dealing to fall back on and it’s.. hard. but it’s worth it, despite his fear. all he needs is wayne and penny to get by.

**character biography**: [ tw’s for multiple types of abuse. homophobia, addiction and depression ] born in california, billy was first and foremost always a mama’s boy. he loved surfing, swimming, and spending time with sylvia hargrove throughout most his of his early childhood. that is, until he was six and his father started getting violent after losing a job. first it was with sylvia, and then with billy. neil hargrove was obsessed with things being perfect, with things going his way come hell or highwater. when billy was eight sylvia had finally had enough and left neil, promising billy she’d come back for him as soon as she could.

life without his mom and just neil became a living hell. constantly, his father was hitting him and making sure he wasn’t a ‘sissy’. the older billy got, the worse it got. billy never dared tell him that he was attracted other boys, especially as his teen years began rolling in. he snuck out often, sleeping around with men and women and his relationship with his father continued to be a struggle.

then neil met susan, and before long billy’s life was turned upside down yet again. they moved to a small town in england called hawkins for a ‘fresh start’ and the secret life that billy had cultivated in california was ruined. he had a shit father, shit step-mother, and a fucking annoying little step-sister. it didn’t take much to become the new king of hawkins and despite it being a cow town, he made do with what he had. billy was a surprisingly good student who graduated with honors. he was accepted to trinity and he immediately jumped at the chance. it was a fresh start far enough away from neil and the abuse he suffered.

things went well at first, but then it was like the trauma hit him all at once. he fell into a depression and ended up flunking out of trinity. desperate, he took a job as a swim instructor having done the job before back in hawkins. he was good at it of course, but the money wasn’t great. it wasn’t long after when an older man at a bar propositioned him to be his sugar baby and then.. it became a habit. his financial situation skyrocketed and while he’s kept the swim instructor job out of sheer like, he lives comfortably off the men he’s gathered as clientele. his.. little secret. well, one of them.

it was clear from a young age that wednesday was very intelligent, their eye for detail and thirst for education causing them to graduate at sixteen. she then went on into a mortuary assistant program with the blessing of her parents to follow the passion she’d always held for things death-related.

upon visiting home fresh off her graduation from the course, it came to wednesday’s attention that her younger brother pugsley was being violently tormented by a senior boy that they’d gone to school with before their own graduation. when it was clear it was truly affecting pugsley, wednesday snapped. no one tormented their brother but them.

after the teen’s football practice, wednesday met him alone in the parking lot of the high school and confronted him calmly about the situation. he showed absolutely no remorse and laughed in her face, then tried to attack her. wednesday retaliated with no remorse, overpowering him with her knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, and by the end of the encounter he’d suffered trauma to his head which led to his death. wednesday fled the scene, and wasn’t caught. when the boy’s death was reported, gomez and morticia knew that it was their daughter. while there were no suspects in who was involved, they quickly decided it was best to send wednesday out of the country. out of sight, out of mind. she was annoyed, but agreed when they were willing to let her live in an old family vacation home in london to attend trinity.

with her mortuary assistant certifications, wednesday was able to do a bit of extra training and get started on the job as she continued the courses she needed to further her education. she’s rather reserved, still the same cold. untrusting. and stoic personality she’s known for. but.. she’s what you could call happy, she supposes. in her own way.

she had learned early on how to prevail in a male dominated environment and has been known to be quite dominant and extroverted. ginny always had a profound love for sports, especially lacrosse and her parents always tried to encourage and support her as best as they possibly could. all the weasley children attended the same boarding school their parents had once met each other and naturally ginny joined the school’s lacrosse team as soon as she was allowed to. over the years it became very clear that she was exceptionally gifted and eventually she got scouted by the trinity institute – which is why she’s now there on a scholarship and heavily involved in the school’s lacrosse teams.

ginny is clever, sharp minded, witty, and self-confident, but she is also known to be brutally honest, mischievous, and competitive.

alsephina esme black was (supposedly) born to walburga and orion black in london, england. she had memories of living with orion’s friend oz potter when she was little, but walburga insisted she was misremembering going with her father places. allie had always been clingy to orion, but that was mostly due to orion being significantly less cruel to her than walburga. though orion was never interested in being a parent and was always a coward, sometimes he allowed allie to hide under his desk as a small child. (she didn’t know this was because he felt guilty for the trauma she endured, that persephone potter had died in front of her).

when she was about eleven years old, allie had discovered that walburga and cygnus had murdered oz potter, and that they hired someone to kill persephone. she doesn’t know why they did this, except that orion had been close to oz before his death, something walburga hadn’t been pleased with for reasons allie couldn’t explain.

  at fourteen, walburga introduced her to a boy from an “acceptable” family. the crouches were influential, powerful, old money like the blacks, and cain was a star athlete with good grades. allie, trying desperately to make her mother proud and to keep suspicions of her sexuality on the downlow, agreed to date cain. she quickly found out why that was a bad idea, as cain wasn’t great to her. a year later, at fifteen, she got pregnant after a party, and walburga made her get an abortion to keep the public from shaming her father and “disgracing” the black name.

allie started going to college as soon as possible, living in the dorms to get away from walburga. she wanted a life away from her, wanted to get out like sirius had all those years ago – even if she’s still hurt and angry that sirius had left them behind.

not too long ago, allie witnessed cain murder his twin after a fight between the two went south. cain threatened to kill her if she said anything, so allie still hasn’t come forward, and she watched as cain’s father covered up the murder.

allie’s first secret is one she’s not even aware of – that she was the product of an affair, that oz potter and orion black were seeing each other and decided to have a child through a surrogate. oz’s sister was the surrogate and gave him custody after allie’s birth. allie has vague memories of being raised by oz potter, though walburga had convinced her she merely remembers being around one of her father’s friends.

her second secret is that she knows walburga had oz and persephone potter murdered. she just doesn’t know why.

another secret is that allie is gay, but because walburga may disown her or worse if she found out, allie is severely closeted. as such, she’s dating a boy walburga chose for her as a teenager, a boy whom allie despises because he’s an asshole.

viktor, along with six other children, was adopted by an eccentric billionaire by the name of reginald hargreeves. he did this to boost his reputation but left the actual care of the children to his very human employees grace and pogo.

  one of viktor’s brothers, felix, ran away when they were sixteen. despite reginald’s insistence that the boy *must* be dead, viktor never gave up hope that his favorite sibling would return home one day. he became angry and unruly around this time, mourning the disappearance of his brother and furious with the indifference of their father, often talking back and disobeying reginald’s rules. this behavior only lasted a few months, as reginald quickly grew tired of dealing with the seventh child of his collection and sent viktor to a boarding school as far away from the hargreeves household as possible. while it was an excellent opportunity for him to study music, it also came with a price: he was not to contact any of his family again. not his siblings, not his caretakers. he was given a new name and an account with money deposited in it each month to buy his silence.

  he excelled at school, still preferring the violin, and he thrived in the environment he found himself in. free from reginald’s watchful eye and strict rules, viktor had been allowed to experience things he’d never have been allowed to before. he began transitioning after graduating high school, a fact his father (can reginald even be called a father?) knows about but doesn’t acknowledge it. of course, reginald does use the correct pronouns and name on the rare occasion he doesn’t refer to viktor as “number seven.” if he acknowledges viktor’s existence at all.

  sometime in his twenties, viktor began dating a man named leonard. things were good for a while, though at some point they began fighting a lot. the arguments turned physical, and viktor kept making excuses for leonard’s violence. eventually though, one of their fights got so bad viktor ended up with a concussion, and he stabbed his boyfriend to death. upon finding out what happened, grace and pogo paid to have the murder covered up. as far as the public knew, leonard died in an accident that gave viktor his injuries.

reginald was far too smart to openly threaten viktor, but the message he sent a few days later was clear to someone who spent his whole life being raised by the man : do as i say or i’ll make sure the world knows what really happened that night.

after that, viktor began teaching music at the college and performing at the orchestra.

fabian prewett was born on april 1, 1982 along with their twin brother, gideon. they have a sister named molly, who’s married with seven children already. that’s not something fabian thinks they could ever have.

  growing up in the prewett household wasn’t particularly difficult. their parents loved them, and they had everything they needed, but fabian always felt pressured to excel and be perfect. despite knowing that her parents loved her, she felt like she never quite met their expectations and constantly disappointed them and their siblings. he just wanted to be seen, understood, and loved no matter what they ended up being, though they didn’t know how to explain that.

  as a kid, they developed a love of mischief and playing jokes; a hobby that molly did not appreciate and fabian felt gideon only seemed to tolerate because it made fabian happy. fabian thrived on attention and laughter, reveled in the popularity being the class clown got them. though this made the pressure to be perfect, to perform, even worse, as more and more eyes turned to her wherever she went.

  because of this popularity, fabian was often invited to parties and to hang out with various people. to keep their reputation and approval, they attended many of these and continued to cause trouble just to hear everyone’s laughter. she began dating someone who didn’t mind the way she shed pronouns like a coat, changed gender like the seasons, danced and laughed at those trying to pin them down. she cared a lot about the boy, their first boyfriend, the puppy love of being sixteen and stupid and never having had real love before.

  one night, their friends invited her to drink and get high in a barn; their boyfriend hadn’t wanted to go, but agreed to do so anyway to keep an eye on fabian and make sure she got home alright. it wasn’t meant to be anything major, just a few drinks and cigarettes, maybe a joint or two at the most. it was never supposed to be a big, wild party, and it wasn’t. there were a few people with far too little to do and far too much teenage rebellion in their veins, which turned to far too much in their systems. the next thing fabian knew, the barn erupted into flames that spread quicker than they could put it out. people scrambled to get out, to escape the flames, but many were hurt in the process. among those were fabian and their boyfriend; the difference between the two is that fabian had survived.

  there’s no way to know what exactly had happened that night, except that a stray cigarette or blunt or *something* hadn’t been put out. everyone maintained that they didn’t know, covering their own tracks to avoid getting in trouble for the alcohol and drugs. fabian never spoke about that night, but she believes the fire had been her fault; even if it wasn’t, she had been the one to convince their boyfriend to come with him to the barn. if they hadn’t, he’d still be alive.

  fast forward several years, and fabian prewet is now teaching history. they’re not happy, but they’re healing. though, now someone’s out there digging up other people’s histories, and fabian wonders if they will be next …
