It’s interesting that of the three of them only Kate has her life sorted in all the alternative universes:
In the first one she is happily married to Pete the neighbor, while Danny is an unlikable douche with no friends and spends his free time creepily obsessing over Kate and stalking her. Milo is also dealing with his own problems, having only his demented grandma (who thinks that he’s her late husband) as his only friend.
In the second world Milo and Kate were a couple, and he was a rock star, all the while Danny was a lonely stalkery creep once again and also suffered from some psychotic disorder. Okay, we were said that rockstar!Milo committed suicide. That’s obviously a big drawback, but on the other hand, we don’t know what happened there, given the fact that evil Milo and Danny also paid a visit to that place… it’s possible that they were the ones who killed him.
In the third world Danny and Kate were a happy couple again, and Danny even had time to buy the spot in that bunker. Milo was a lonely misrable hermit whom everyone thought to be insane…
In the fourth universe Milo and Danny were evil selfish douchebags who basically committed genocide on their own world simply because they wanted to have fun. Since they’d ditched Kate, Danny had become an obsessive maniac, who collected Kates from all the worlds they visited. And Milo kind of singed his own death sentence by tricking Danny into ditching Kate. Meanwhile, Kate is the only one out of the three who understands how the bracelets work and actually knows how to travel safe through dimensions.
In their own world Danny is engaged to Kate and has a pretty successful life. Milo is a lonely miserable weed smoker, who only has one friend, judging by all the events. So, all things said, Milo’s decision “to get along with Kate” is the only right one.
