Gigi: Seriously though. Obviously you have your issues, but all things considered, you could have come out of this a lot worse. You're actually pretty great. You don't do drugs, you own a successful business. You have an amazing girlfriend.

Tristan: Georgina is your name and I like that Half Pint bugs you.

Tristan: No, I've avoided drugs because of my parents.

“And I don’t take no for an answer. That’s Dylan, he’s been… amazingly helpful.” Scarlett made a soft, fussy noise, but cuddled closer against Tristan and settled back down. “He put together the nursery for me. and has been there since her dad left.”

“Always knew there was something wrong wiht that man. He was too aggressive and off. Things didn’t seem settled with him.” Tristan smiled as he began to rock the baby slightly. “So he’s a friend?”

Gigi: Yeah, which is why 99 percent of the time, I forget that there was another person involved in the process. But that woman did give birth to a child that is her flesh and blood and she gave us up. Difference circumstances, of course, but she did it.

Gigi: Your parents fall under the selfish category. They thought more about themselves than about you and your sister and they lost out, and, you ended up paying the price as well.

Gigi: I think, all things considered, you didn't turn out bad.

Tristan: You think that because for some reason you like me, half-pint.

Gigi: I mean, drugs really fuck with your mind. But some people do it. I mean, Cris and I technically have moms that neither of us have met. I guess it really just... depends on the circumstances.

Tristan: You have dads that love you both though, and each other.

Gigi: You said they were on drugs right? So... I mean... isn't is a good thing that you got away from them? I know it wasn't an ideal childhood but at least you weren't surrounded by drugs?

Tristan: that's what the report said, yeah. There are all these families and mothers holding babies and looking at the babies in the nurseries and I don't get it.

Tristan: I don't understand how someone could have kids and leave them for anything.

“I mean, so far you’ve managed a friend in me, a girlfriend in Gigi, a bestie in Scarlett, so you’re pretty close to normal. Closer than you were before you met me, at least. Oh good, then I still can be the one to christen the office. Just gotta get past that pesky healing process then find some kind of boyfriend and I’m set.”

“You and Gigi just showed up. I had nothing to do with any of that. ....You are banned from my office now.”

Tristan: I sometimes like to think they had a reason. They had to.

Tristan: Yes. they're tiny and fragile and I can't...I can't imagine anyone letting something squishy and new to the world fend for itself or...basically walking away.
